Motorola — Camera not working in Moto X. Insane Customer care.

Address:Chennai, Tamil Nadu

My Moto X1 encountered rear camera issue. I had to restart it everytime, to use the camera. After sometime, the camera stopped working. Service guys in Nungambakkam said, they will replace the camera module, and it is free of cost, since it falls under warranty. I was expecting the phone in a week, as told by the Service person. However, it has been 15 days, and no sign of it. That is not of great concern. What is bothering is Motorola's poor customer care and after sales service. I have been writing to their support forum and twitter handle, about my issue and no body cared for it. I even asked the guys to escalate the issue. The customer care rep, who spoke to me on the call said he has escalated. However, he just lied to me, and never filed an escalation ticket. Later, when I came to know of this, I asked them to file the ticket again, and received the id[protected]. Filing an escalation means, they have to call me back in 24 hours after checking with the local service center. I waited for about 48 hrs to call, and never received one. I called to their customer care again, and got a simple response saying, it would take another 1 week. Such is the irresponsible answer by the customer care team, without caring for the customers whose money, is what is paying them their salary. Motorola seems to be like any other chinese company, providing substandard quality products in Indian market, and remains to be mute on the after sales issues. The main idea behind going after reputed brands is their after sales service. Even Apple's product has issues. But they provide a very goood service.
