[Resolved] Motorola Mobility — Company asking money to repair phone still in warranty | |||||
I bought a motorola moto g3 mobile phone in aug. 2015 (which is still under warranty). the company claimed that the phone is water-resistant for upto 3 feet of depth and for 30 minutes. i accidentally dropped my phone in a bucket of water (upto knee length) immediately took it out, removed the cover and dried it. it worked fine for a day but then it stopped working. i went to the authorized service centre and there i was told that it will cost me rs. 5200 to repair my phone. they said that they do not account for any physical damage to the device, but it is clearly mentioned in the warranty book that if this particular device suffers water damage, it is covered under warranty.
