Motorola — Moto E - charging port not working

I bought moto e 2 nd generation mobile 2 months back. It was working good till last week. Currently from last week mobile charging is not working. Actually, there was no external damage occured to the phone. I have taken it to the service center near secunderbad, Sri sai communication, suggested by Motorola service person from Chat live. He asked me to pay 250/- rupees to provide the estimation price to fix the issue. And asked to keep the phone for one day with them. The next day he called and informed that it would price around 2500. The phone is of cost 6000 and on top of it paid 250 to get issue examined and he was pricing 2500 rupees. Why does Motorola ship faulty pieces into market and exploit users on the name of services? I called the service centre and it is of no use. This is the worst service I have ever seen in my life.
