Bought a moto 6 2nd gen phone in jan 2015 and encountered a speaker issue in aug 2015 (caller/receiver could only converse if speakers were on). On 19th aug submitted the phone along with bill (as under warranty) to newtech solutions at vashi. (order no. Vzi/mg/151/01216)was told that it would take a week's time at least to have the same repaired. Made calls and also sent smses regarding status after the wait period. Was misguided that the phone was ready and was later told that the order no. Was taken down wrongly while checking status. Later, since there was no update, made complaints at the customer help email id but was provided with standard replies. After much followup, received a call on 19th sept from hyderabad that the phone was ready. Again on 24th sept, received a call that the phone was ready for collection. However on visiting the service centre on 24th sept, i was made to wait for more than half an hour and was told that the phone is not yet ready! i have written to the head of india operations- ramesh kotapu- but have not received any response as yet. Calls to the western region head - ashish patil - have also gone unanswered.
Inspite of writing to customer helpline that the phone has not been received till date after repairs, they have conveniently closed my complaint case.
It is now 40 days since the phone was submitted for repairs that too for a speaker issue. This wait has also eaten into my warranty period.
