Sub: refund / replacement of defective product
Ref: invoice no. 12717/17-18 dated 26 december 2017.
I have purchased a set of 4 tyres from your authorised dealer, ms. B. M. Lal bros, located at 34, whites road, royapettah, chennai - 600014 on 26th december 2017, for my honda city. Copy of the invoice attached. Tyre replacement and quality check was done by your personnel at the authorised dealer’s showroom. No air filling / checking was done after that from any other petrol pumps.
4months after purchase and nearly 1000 kms of running (Approx.), one of the tyres got burst, all of a sudden while driving on a smooth road. Accident was averted due to the grace of almighty. There were no signs of visible damage to the tyres before the incident. This incident happened while driving along with my family on a highway to coimbatore about 5 months back.
On referring the same to your authorised dealer, there was no clear response from them. After several reminders and visits, they are trying to escape from their liability by insisting that it is not a manufacturing defect. I did visit your corporate office @ coimbatore to have the same checked
Based on their unsubstantiated report i am forced to declare that
Either quality of mrf tyres have gone so low, that it is not even lasting 4 months of normal running or
Mrf authorised dealers are selling spurious, poor quality products in the name of mrf.
As a customer, i demand quality service form a reputed brand like mrf. I want the damaged tyre to be replaced / amount refunded at the earliest. I will be compelled to escalate this matter to consumer forum and social media if the same is not resolved within a reasonable time.
