Mts — Recharge of a limited plan after unlimited plan - not taking into effect

I recharged my MTS with a 999 UL plan near 26th March. The day usage got exceeded and today I decided to get 1499 plan. However I'm told that this new plan will not take into effect until my old one expires. This is just plain stupid. There is no such information on the website or no such warning was raised. As a corrective measure I would like either to have my day balance be increased to 18 GB which I would get otherwise or my money refunded. I have called the MTS helpline twice and have received no help except saying that I can't use it right now. Really lame and not expected from a company of such numbers. My MTS number is [protected]
