As you may know, Myntra had a huge End of Season sale going on last week. Since there were great discounts, I decided to purchase a pair of shoes I've had my eye on for quite a while. I bought 'em, paid online. The order got confirmed on the same day.
Now comes the delivery part. The order took a whole week to get shipped, which was acceptable since they received a whole plethora of orders on account of the sale.
June 30th, the order had reached a delivery center in my city.
July 1st, it was "out for delivery". The delivery executive had neither called nor messaged me in the day but in the evening I got a message stating "delivery failed as the customer was not reachable". I let this slide since I assumed the delivery wouldn't have been possible on the first day itself and it was also a Sunday.
July 2nd, the product was once again "out for delivery". The same thing was repeated, I was not contacted regarding it and at the end of the day, "delivery failed as the customer was not reachable".
July 3rd, at morning I got a call from the delivery executive (hurray!) asking me about my precise address. Upon my answer he replied and I quote, "Your order will be delivered by today evening".
I sat home the entire day with my phone in hand-..but at the end of the day I got a message, "delivery failed as the customer was not reachable."
July 4th, I made a CALL TO Myntra addressing this entire issue. They were "deeply sorry" that I, a 4 year old customer, had to face such a stupid problem. Their so called customer service "champions" assured me that they will file a complaint on the delivery executive with precise details and ensure that my package is delivered to me. They also provided the number of the delivery executive so I could coordinate delivery with him.
I called the delivery person twice but he didn't pick up, I called from a different number and he picked it up within seconds. I asked him about my package and he shamelessly admitted the he's had my package for 3 days but didn't attempt any delivery since "it was not his area". The ### didn't even think about giving it to one of his colleagues and instead sent it back to Myntra.
I immediately informed Myntra with this information, their "champion" once again assured me that they will take disciplinary action against him and delivery the product to me.
A couple hours later I got a message stating my order was cancelled as I was not available and refund has been initiated. Once again I immediately called Myntra regarding this and reminded them of my issue to which their "champion" asked me to "buy the product again". By now an entire week had passed since the sale got over. I was asked to buy the same product again AT FULL PRICE. So what's the point of having a ### sale?
And just to clarify, I didn't sit twiddling my thumbs on each of those failed delivery attempts, I filled out the feedback form each day telling them about this. But it looks like they never bother to read these feedbacks since when I called them they were entirely unaware about my issue.
Oh and the complaint I made on the delivery executive? They said I'd be notified by email about it within the day. Its been 3 days now and I still haven't received ### -..and they have the nerve to send me another "feedback form". Myntra used to be my favourite shopping destination but I'm not sure what the ### has happened to it now. I GENUINEly hope they recover from this downward spiral.
