National Highways Authority Of India [NHAI] — Collection of toll tax from Defence Officers | |||
I am a serving indian air force officer. I was travelling from lucknow to kanpur via nh -20 in a hired vehicle. I was forced to pay the toll tax at nawabganj toll plaza but as per the indian toll (Army and air force act 1901) defence personnel are exempted from toll tax all over india (Whether he in private/ hired/ govt vehicle irrespective of he is on duty or not). They showed a recent letter issued by nhai authority issued on[protected] which says only service vehicle will be exempted. Is there any letter has been issued to toll plaza as i travelled in other toll plaza in nh -5 vijayawada but there i was exempted. Pls clarify Was this information helpful? | |||
