National Highways Authority Of India [NHAI] — Fastag Balance Scam

I started travelling from Perumbakkam to Pondicherry, taken route OMR and turned to kevalam road. While reaching ECR toll from OMR through pudupakkam via Kovalam route, There was a huge line in toll gate asking for money stating that no balance in fastag. So pay cash and tbey will let us go. We didn't pay and they didn't let us cross the limit. We still not decided to pay for the cash. After few minute, 1 guy went i side and give us the way to move on. I am raising this complaint because of the looters in toll gate asking for cash even we have balance in Fastag. Because of this, we were about to form a large queue which made us frustration on that day. We were thinking that why government mandated us to use fastag? I request you to take action on the particular toll gate employees for their inappropriate actions.
