Sir Re: non-payment of commission due for over 2 years Group mediclaim policy no.[protected] A/c. Gujarat police In this connection, kindly note that at the inception of the policy itself 7.5% additional commission was granted on the said policy by the competent authority at ho since as advised from ho, such an amount was loaded in the premium and that the norms stipulated were adhered to. The complete set of communications in this regard is annexed hereto. Under the circumstances, i fail to understand the purpose of your said letter which, in effect, reduces my commission from total 15% to 11% which, you will agree amounts to a breach of commitment by none other than a public sector insurance company and therefore, unacceptable. The undersigned has been following up for the balance commission of 7.5% due to me since last two years and i am being unnecessarily engaged in unwanted communications through e-mails and meetings in person at your do as well as ro. All this while, the company has remained in possession of such a hefty amount to the extent of rs.17.0 lacs whereas, the undersigned is legitimately entitled to it immediately on collection and deposit of the premium to the company. The undersigned find it quite unusual that officers of a public sector insurance company could withhold commission committed to the agent without giving any reason and after 24 months of expiry of the policy could come up with such a ridiculous reduced offer of 3.5% instead of 7.5%. I fail to understand under which statute of the country; such arbitrary powers have come to be vested in officials who are mandated to perform the duties in terms of the law of the land and rules of the public sector company. I have been an agent with the company and it would be a sad day if i have to bring proceedings against my company for the arbitrariness of the officers who want to withhold my legitimate remuneration in the form of agency commission, committed to me, in writing, following which, the business was canvassed, secured and place with our company. In the said backdrop, i would expect that the whole amount due to me is disbursed in its entirety without any further delay.
