I purchased MoneyBack Plan of Rs. 7, 688 including 18% GST on 9 May 2021 for renting out my property in Wagholi, Pune through NoBroker. NoBroker was unable to find any tenant until end of June 2021 and then I found tenant through local person in Wagholi in July 1st week.
During the course of the active subscription, My relationship manager (Shaib Ashraf) had informed me that he is unable to get tenant for my property (Not a single tenant visited during first 33 days) so requested me to lower the rent and deposit amount. I had agreed for same since already more than month time was gone and I was losing on rent with each passing month.
After few days I found a tenant through local person for same lowered rent of Rs 13000 and deposit Rs 40000. He asked me to provide registered rent agreement for the refund process which I shared with him on 14th July 2021. After that he asked me for Aadhar and passport for myself as well as my father (didn't get any valid reason when questioned why they need my father's passport or Aadhar card) which I shared with him on 15th July 2021.
He did not mention me about any terms and conditions in regards that I should provide a rental agreement with a date after 7 days the changes to rent were made. Now, I am being told that I would not be getting my refund as I gave the rent agreement within 7 days.
I am escalating this issue because I was not informed prior about these terms and conditions by my relationship manager while updating the rent. My relationship manager also agreed about this thing on an official phone call that he was also not aware about these terms and conditions and he got this information from his seniors.
Further, the issue was looked into by relationship managers senior (Sanjay). He mentioned the same reason to me and rejected my refund process. I asked him to share this reason on an email with me but he did not share an email with the actual reason. One can share a email and co-operate with a reason if it is allowed by NoBroker to share.
Please find the attached screenshot of terms and conditions for this plan from the NoBroker email. In which I cannot see any terms and condition mentioned for 7 days policy.
It’s disappointing that one cannot get a reason on an email to back the issue as I don’t have the call recordings with me to show what was said on all the calls (I received/I called) to my relationship manager and his senior.
I would request consumer complaints team to look into the issue and help in processing my refund.
