i got a gifted Nokia N73 from UAE . it has some problems like poor service , slow speed , poor battery service, others. so i was returned to UAE for repair , but now it is back to me , but it is not taking Indian SIM cards and after inserting any SIM shows "SIM CARD NOT VALID" .
So please tell me what will be solution for that. somebody say's that it's IME number is wrong .
how the IME number will change or correct.

    Dear Sir,

    I lost my Nokia - 3500C Mobile, bearing IMEI no. [protected], in Bolangir, Orissa on 30th August 2009 . I purchased a new SIM and got my lost number, i.e [protected].Please lock the handset as soon as possible so that no one misuses the same. I have also filed FIR on on 30th August 2009 for the lost set. Please help me trace the handset as soon as possible.

    Nokia- 3500c — Negligent behavior of Nokia Care Staff

    I purchased nokia 3500C on 19th october 2008,imei no [protected]. It stopped working october 2009. I submitted it to nokia repair centre namely MAA Communications, B-36 Guru Nanak Pura, Radhu Palace. Job Sheet no[protected]/091005/31 dated 5th october 2009. At that time I was told to pay Rs 650 though it was still under warranty. I objected to it but later gave in agreed to pay the amount and then I was told that during repair if the mobile gets damaged then they won't be responsible. I had an argument regarding this with the person in charge there named Rosy. After that I got a completely damaged set and I got it checked from somewhere and I was told that it has been intentionally damaged and I am sure that its a conspiracy by Ms Rosy who got some Mr Tyagi who was responsible for repairing the set also involved in it just because I had a heated argument with her. Now please tell me should I throw this phone out...i was capable for paying reapir charges but in the first place why should I when the warranty is still on and though I agreed to pay the charges the clause of responsibility of damage on me was not acceptable at all ??? I think this kind of behavior is not at all tolerable and would not want anyone else to suffer from the same problem and please tell me the solution to this and I request you to take action against these people who are misusing their position.

      Sir I am not able to see the disaplay on the screen of my head set Nokia N72. From very few days back whenever I switch on the phone it only show the briht screen and are not able to switch off. for doing so I just took out the battery. And one thing is that while listening the music and watching the videos it hangs in the middle and not able to turn off the phone. For this also I follw the same procedure that is just taking out the battery. But now I am not able to see the display since it only shows the bright screen. So, in this regard I want a help to solve the problem.

        i would like to have an explanation on my Nokia phone which has not finished 4months since i bought it. This is how it started while i was recording a video then sudenly it went blank on the screen. After a while i decided to switch it of and then on. After doing this it came on and what i cud see on the screen was kind of a warning which read: CONTACT SERVICE. after a while the it started asking for restriction code. Upto now i cannot be able to use my phone. please assist me on this issue

          I had purchased Nokia Handset (Model Name - N81, ESN/IMEI NUMBER– [protected] PRODUCT CODE –0570887, INSTRUMENT TYPE-PHONE, TECHNOLOGY TYPE- GSN) on 15.01.2009 from chennai.

          From the day of purchase, the handset is showing the frequent problem of sudden switching off. This handset has been sent more than 4 times to Nokia service centre, but the problem still persists.
          1. Its display was changed at nokia care job card no.[protected]/090316.
          2. When i got back my phone from nokia care it key pad was very had they got it repaired.
          3.Its key pad is not working they got it repaired but again it is having it the same problem.
          4. I have given it again for repair fourth time.
          .
          Due to repetition of this problem, and frequent repairing my phone is in bad shape I request you to kindly change the present handset with a new one for your customer satisfaction.

          I hope this letter will be addressed promptly and my problem will be resolved within 7 days of time span.
          In case it is not resolved within a week’s time, please mention whom shall I contact next for getting an early solution.

          From the day of purchase, the handset is showing the frequent problem of sudden switching off, hanging and automatic display shown lines. This handset has been sent more than Two times to Nokia service centre at Delhi, but the problem still persists. Here I would like to mention that this service centre is around 60 kms from the place where I stay. It’s really problematic and very tiring for me to go to the shop after the regular office work. For my official work I have to travel a lot in different parts of India, where mobile is an absolute necessity to keep a track with the clients and also with office. For this problem with my mobile my work is also getting affected.

          Due to repetition of this problem, I request you to kindly change the present handset with a new one for your customer satisfaction.

          I think this is genuine problem and his phone should be replaced with a new one, since it has gone 4 times to nokia care the phone might be in bad shape.moreover he might have lost lot of valuable time in servicing his handset. I request to give him a new handset.
          I think he should be given with a new phone.to keep the name of nokia mobile high for best costumer satisfactions.

            I had resigned NSN on 8/3/2008. My previous PF accounts of Hutchison Essar South LTD and Nokia India Private Ltd was merged in NSN PF account. After my resignation I had recieved the PF of NSN tenure but HESL and Nokia India PVT Ltd PF balance is yet to be cleared by Nokia. I had been following the same with Nokia and DKM online(outsourced CA company of Nokia which manages NSN employee PF) without any result.
            I have not recieved any feedback form them. Requesting help from this forum.

            NOKIA-SIEMENS NETWORKS — pathetic

            NOKIA SIEMENS NETWORKS arranged an off-campus at vel multi tech for 2007,2008,2009 passed out with 70% and above on sep 11 2009.

            on sep 11th 2009 around 5000 candidates are waited for interview. 10'0 clock they said no history of arrears candidates only allowed for interview. candidates from all over t.n got tensed and they arraised a question u didnt mention no history of arrears ll be eligible for interview like that. for that company said its a company policy so no history of arrears ll be allowed for interview. so others get out from this place.

            on sep 12th 2009, i heard that company selected a person with out completed a degree. how is it possible?. they are thinking that they are good company its a very pathetic company.

            i want to say one thing to the all companies: Please select a candidates based on strong knowledge in technologies, dont select a people w/o knowledge and a referral.

            before i thought NOKIA SIEMENS is a great company, now i a shame to say it.

              I am absoulutely fed up and frustrated with nokia handsets and its poor service, my 5 month old nokia n85 was not getting charged so i took it to nokia care on 14th august 2009, they said it is going to take 14 days to repair, so after 14days i went back to the care and they said that it got replaced, so i got the new phone and came home, it was saturday. I came home and when i put the new phhone to charge it was charging but unfortunately got restarted every 15mins when put to charge! So the next day i couldnot take it to nokia care as it was sunday, so on monday at 10am i took my cell and went to the care and reported my problem, they said they are investigating the issue and kept me waiting for nearly 2 hours, and after a while they said it is working fine now! But then when i inserted my sim card and put it to charge again and found the same problem! The care representatives behave very rudely and keep harrassing us! And fail to provide with any solutions. God knows how long they will take to resolve the problem!

                Dear sir,

                I have purchased Nokia 6300, 6 months ago and its battery gets low when phone rings or some call comes to me.Also phone switches off automatically in between even when battery is full.
                I have submitted my cell to Nokia service center.They kept my mobile for 10 days saying there was some major fault in the piece.There is some manufacturing defect in the cell.
                When i got my cell after 10 days, same problem persists...i don't know what repair thsee peoples have done.

                Pleaes can i get some help in this matter!

                  I purchased Nokia N70 in 2005 and it worked till 2008. Last year I found no display and got repaired after paying Rs.2300/- at Nokia customer care, Chennai. Again within a year the same problem. When cheap Nokia mobiles are working perfectly the Mobile I purchased For Rs. 17600/- is giving problem. Please help.

                  i purchased a N70 on august 22,2007.from today morn it not working.there is no display atall.we have aa nokia service centre here,but they are telling that the handset has to be formatted and some of the menu which are inbuilt will erase. what should i do?...please help me out.iam so disturbed.

                  I would like to inform you that myself purchased a Nokia Phone N70-M on 26/10/2008.
                  My phone having display problem. I already submit to GSM Commnuication 104-105 Hans Plaza Ghaziabad vide their job sheet number[protected]/081001/24 dated 1/10/2008. I already follow up with customer care and not getting any satisfactory response. They told me that your cell phone will return you upto 20/10/2008. I think that your company is world famous but services are very poor.

                  Pls note that if i get my cell phone with in 20 days, then i think for other cell phone companies. Your ghaziabad branch taking 10 - 20 days for any type of problems in cell phone. They are not take care of their responsibility properly. Kindly go through the matter in deeply and organize to repair my cell phone with in 2 -3 days or replace with new cell phone.

                  I had given on 15/09/2008 to R.J. Trade Link, Sitabuldi Nagpur (Mr.Rajkumar, [protected]) for repairing. My Job Sheet Number was[protected]/080915/20. Delivery Date was 15/10/2008. But after somany problems I have received handset on 4/11/2008.                     On 18.07.2008 I bought a new nokia 2626 handset from The Mobile Store, Moradabad
                    After few month the handset's Keypad start creating problem. Some of the Keys such as joy stick menu key not working.
                    Three times I give the handset in the nokia care centre but the problem not over. When I request to the Nokia care centre they send mobile to the company at 4th time service.
                    After 15 days the company send back after its repaired.
                    my handset still have the same problem, Now the Care centre is saying the warranty period of one year is over.

                    I request to Nokia please replace my Nokia 2626

                      I got the Nokia N97 a couple of weeks ago and its crap.The internet does not work, pictures don't load, battery doesn't even last 24 hours, my message box flashes as if it was full but don't have any messages in it and the other day my phone randomly started charging its self at work when it wasn't plugged in for up to 7 hours and then turned off and i couldn't get it back on.i'm having great problems with this phone and also paying £15.99 a month for insurance when they will not even give me a new one when mine is clearly not working right.

                      Nokia N97 — Not happy with the Phone's perfomence.

                      Sir,

                      I would like to bring to your notice that, I am facing lots of problem with your newly launched gadget Nokia N97. I was the first in my Town (Raniganj, West Bengal) to buy this phone from Tirupati Telecom (Nokia Priority, Raniganj) and I had to sell out Rs 33, 000 for this crap Phone of yours. I was so excited to buy this cell but now the excitement has died out. So much was expected from it, but NOKIA FAILED in so many aspects.

                      These are the following problem faced by me:
                      1. PC does not detect N97 or USB charging connection not detected.
                      2. Home screen online/offline widget crash.
                      3. Messaging & calendar Important Data lost.
                      4. Slow Touch Screen UI response.
                      5. Device performance deteriorates when lots of content in the device - especially photos
                      6. No display or backlight illumination when unlocking lock-key pressed
                      7. Alphabetical and Number input are mixed in Facebook until end key is pressed.
                      8. And Many More….

                      I am not at all happy with the performance of N97, I would like immediate replacement for it, if the problem persists. I will be really grateful if you kindly look into this matter and take necessary steps to resolve the problem.

                      while downloading mimobitv to my device nokia n97 using bsnl3G sim there was an error message that my Mimobi TV does not support my mobile device.kindly suggest how to overcome the problem.
                      I agree. This is the most frustrating phone I ever owned. I mean as in EVER! And I am a cell phone and avid Nokia user since 1998. I always used the top of the range model - 9110i; 9500; 9600; E90 and now this piece of absolute ! The frustration started with the E90 and the throwing out of the very effective symbian operating system of the nokia 9500 - Man, that was a dream phone! The cancellation of that very effective operating system was really a bummer. I have been using the E90 since it was launched and kept hoping for some form of improvement from Nokia - and eventually, after 3 years of loyal waiting and teeth clenching, what did they offer me? This little frustrating freakin N97! Functionality people functionality PLEASE!!! Not slower performance! I don't care what the spec of the processor says. If the phone operates slower, the bottom line is worse performance! In plain English - one giant step backwards. If the battery cant last a full 8hour work day of business style use, what is the reason for this little piece of crap device's existence? I now use my old E90 as a charger for the extra battery. When I go on the road I carry this extra battery in a little plastic bag in my shirt pocket - so that I will still have an operational phone at 3PM! How pathetic can you get!? And the QWERTY keyboard. Oh boy, don't get me started there! They lost the CTRL key and all the short cut speed enhancing dilly dallies that came along with it. No more copy & paste between applications. The spacebar moved into a smaller button and now sits on the right where the shift key used to sit. This took some time getting used to. But after you typed on a desktop computer keyboard, you need to really concentrate and focus, cause your subconscious mind keep forcing your fingers to the centre of the keypad of your N97 when you want to press the spacebar. And how about this: They place the function key that gives you access to numeric and some special characters, next to the "symbols" key (which brings up a new window with more complete selection of special characters), and this symbols key is right next to the space bar!! Remember, this is where one's thumb operates - the thickest member on your hand. You need to be accurate, VERY accurate to not frequently frustrate yourself by pressing the symbols key by mistake in mid-typing. Then the N97 stops everything and you need to lift your finger to the far opposite side of the touch screen to press a button that makes this screen go away again before you can do anything else. I've got this phone for longer than 2 months now. It's not getting better. I'm loosing it. Reception and speech quality - PATHETIC. Worse than any phone I had. This is honest feedback people - this thing takes little snippets out of your voice like a 2-way radio loosing signal. Sometimes everything goes right, mind you, only sometimes, then the sound is exceptionally crisp and clear and people on the other end of the line says it sounds as if I'm standing next to them. But this is the exception rather than the rule.

                      Tell me, software developers, is there nobody who checks up on you when it comes to "number of clicks"? Haven't you got a drive or internal "wanting" or general rule to always try to minimize the number of clicks and the number of button presses to get to what you want the device to do? I heard that at Apple Mac they appoint a guy specifically to check the number of clicks, and in the iPOD for example, if you need to press a button or tap the screen more than 3 times to get to any function of the device, the developer is sent back to redo and get it right. Well, to me it feels as if the developers at Nokia have absolutely no regards for this. I sometimes get the idea that they are under the impression that they need to build in more interaction steps to keep the user busy with.

                      The screen gets clogged with useless and outdated style information that nobody wants and nobody can switch of. When I make a call, a little notification message pops (just as the phone starts to ring). This message says: "You have active call diverts". Woop-dee-doo! I really, really needed to know that! Every time I make a call! Since 1998 when I started to use a cell phone!!!???? And this comes up because, like EVERYBODY ELSE IN THE WORLD, when I don't answer my phone, the call "is diverted" to my voice mailbox - I'd say this is pretty much standard for any mobile user on the planet, why remind you of this fact with every call made? And this not-ever-updated software from Nokia needs to notify me of this EVERY TIME I MAKE A CALL - and the real reason that this frustrates me, is because a) I can not switch this little piece of irritating notification off AND b) for the duration (of 3 seconds in the case of the N97) that this is displayed on my screen, I can not do anything on my phone. Many times one need to quickly "alter" what you started of to do - such as: You make a call, and just as it starts to ring you realize you need to first make a different call, or you need to quickly open another application because the person on the other side need you to read a number back to him from your phone book or whatever. In my case I also receive a lot of calls. Many times, just as my outgoing call starts to ring, my phone shows an incoming call - I always rush against time, so I try to answer that call (while the outgoing call rings) and quickly asks "Hi Suzy, I'm on another call, can you hold a few secs or must I call back?" usually, I get an answer just in the nick of time and I can swap back to my outgoing call as the other person answers. That is functionality man!! And I actually had this in my previous models. Your finger knows the route and the menu and you can do it blindfolded almost - but no, this little unnecessary notification message renders everything inactive for you for 3 seconds. And what is the result? I must ignore the incoming call because the obstructing notification message brings down my speed and forces me out of "effective range" to manage it as I always did - i.e., I need to spend money to call the person back. Can't drop my outgoing call either, cause it already started ringing, if I drop it and answer the incoming call, chances are that in 80% of the cases, that person phones back to ask "I've got a missed call from you. Are you looking for me?" Cute, only problem is, I am on the line with the other call that I dropped that call for. Major loss of functionality and effectiveness. Thanks Nokia, for placing that piece of irritation in my path. This is a software issue in most all Nokia phones. With some it is not a problem, because the reaction of the processor is fast and crisp and accurate and always the same. You quickly learn that if I just press on the screen or on the "c" key or maybe on any digit key, this message disappear and my automated fingers can rush through the desired steps to get to the application I want or answer the other call before my colleague on the other side answers. (Just don't press the red phone symbol button - this will not only remove the unwanted notification, it will also end your call prematurely. And boy if this happens, you need to wait many seconds extra for the phone to make peace with itself before you can just press redial. More steps, more sequences, more buttons, and more frustration.) And with this issue the N97 is EXTA slow to respond. After every action, it needs time to make piece with itself, to re-orientate the screen, the memory. It needs time to make available to you the option to press buttons that you are anxiously waiting to press, if this phone can just "keep up". But it can't, unfortunately. To think that the E90 that I have been using for 3 years now, which already frustrated me in many of these same issues, are light years ahead in speed (in terms of reaction time) and reception and battery life and operating system stability, than this super-dooper-top-notch "flag-ship" device that is supposed to have 4 years newer technical performance and capabilities.
                      I can go on and on and on about my frustrations here. But, I need to get back to work now. I am so disgruntled. I so much wish for Nokia to be the best. It is possible. Everything is out there. The hardware can make it. The software can make it. There are very good processors and memory capabilities out there. Even battery technology. Jeepers, have you seen the improvements made in this field as of late? Why not take in the best of everything that there is? Why not strike a deal with Window to use Win mobile? Face it, Symbian do have the stability and capability, but you don't have the zest to bring it to its rights, Nokia. Get Windows mobile or get left behind. OR, get your bloody lazy buts in gear and develop Symbian to what it really can be - it can be even better than Windows.
                      Nokia, let me just drop a note on your PC suite quickly - while I'm at it. Man, is that one piece of potential fantasticness that you have been slow to come around to! Do you know what PC SUITE is supposed to be for me? It is should be "my phone on my computer". To really be this, PC SUITE should become a little Symbian operating system (exact replica of the phone connected at any given moment) on top of my Windows Desktop Operating system. I should be able to do everything from within PC Suite that I do on my phone. Not just access telephone numbers and calendar and messages! From within PC suite I should be able to operate all software on my phone - because PC Suite should actually become my phone on my computer when connected. But where is PC SUITE now? Lets take a simple thing like "default number". I have more +1300 contacts on my phone. Most of them got more than one number - fax, landline, mobile, email etc. What happens when I want to call someone? I get asked which number I wish to call. Usually you always call someone by a preferred number (default number). Now to select a contact number as default number, you need to open the contact, select 'Defaults' from the options menu and pick which contact detail to use for what function. This may seem all OK to the user getting started with a new phone and systematically adding your contacts. But even to these individuals, this is a cumbersome issue with a lot of button issues on the phone. One can not set defaults on PC SUITE. With your mouse and keyboard in PC SUITE, this would be much less painful. Further more if the Nokia developers should come around to this some day in the distant future, they would be so near sighted (an assumption made from experience) that they would not think of "mass default settings" - where you should be able to select a number of contacts in your phone book (or maybe all - whatever you want) and for all of the selections, change default phone number to 'mobile' or whatever. Wouldn't that be effective? Especially for a guy with 1300 contacts in his address book? And now the real bummer on this issue: Just as you've got this set up, you change your handset, you upgrade or the thing broke or gets stolen or whatever. You've made your phone back-ups religiously and you receive your new handset and transfer all of your data back to your new device. Guess what; yes you guessed right, the defaults are gone. There is no way to transfer default settings or save them or retain them in any manner. The cumbersome process of setting it up needs to start all over again.
                      Phone developers, get one thing straight please: These gadgets are but one of many tools in our toolboxes. The percentage of population who uses them for farting around is actually very low. We work with these things. It's not a toy although it can be used as one. But its use is important. Its function is critical. SO MAKE THE FREAKIN THING AS FUNCTIONAL AS POSSIBLE PLEASE!!! I NEED A QUALITY TOOL. I KNOW HOW TO APPRECIATE A QUALITY TOOL. I WILL LOVE IT, AND TAKE CARE OF IT - I PROMISE!

                      Do you know what would be the best phone for me? Take my old E90, give it the same 5MP camera and lens and related photo software of the N97, give it the fastest processor on the market, make the internal screen touch screen, leave the keyboard as is, change to Windows Mobile latest & greatest, leave the outer screen & keys as is, add the same hard drive sizes and additional memory stick capabilities than the N97. Man! That would have been a beaut of a phone! I can daydream about that. I will be willing to take out a lone to buy a thing like that.

Even if the phone and OS worked properly without rebooting, crashing, not connecting to my mailboxes etc etc etc, the "more steps, more sequences, more buttons, and more frustration" you talk about is spot on.

                      This piece of crap is worse than a bug ridden device driver - sometimnes it does not even drive the devices. And on some days the phone completely crashes. I am close to the company that provided a lot of the Qualiative Reasearch into what Nokia SOULD have produced as a flagship - their simple and very expensive recommendation was - build something that WORKS! And so as we N97 owners know ony too well - they paid their money and ignorde the advice and produced a turd - and no amount of polishing will change that. Therer is an IT project manager out there somewhere who deserves to have his balls seared with a bunson burner. Nokia's only hope is to send him to Apple to do the same damage there! As they say in the Den - I'm out - Nokia you have just lost one more loyal customer.
                      Ive had the phone since it came out. And i bloody wish i got rid of it. Now i've got 22months left of paying for something that im not happy about. It crashes, the app store is bollocks, it does things i dont want or tell it to, you cant recieve more than 3 songs from bluetooth without having to delete them from the TEXT MESSAGE inbox. Why are they goin there in the first place! And why can i not send pictures from my "captured" file into a new album then delete them from the captured file without the pictures being totally removed from the album aswell as the captured. I will never recommend that someone gets this phone. And for [censored] sake! why couldnt they put a better processor in! it gets soo confused and takes ages to do anything. The screen is very very very hard to see in bright light, The battery life is basically about 15-17 hours... if you use your phone. When you take a picture in the dark with the super dooper amazing flash... has anyoine noticed the actual picture turns out to have a bright circle to the left of the picture, due to the flash. It is very hard to organise your own things. And why cant i put a pin code on my phone? because theres a pin already there and i dont no it... i got the phone brand new. Why is there a pin that i dont no! surely i should no it and no1 else should! Also everytime you finish a phone call you have to wait for a pop-up that says "active diverts activated" or something like that before you can make another phone call! lol What else... if someone that has had the phone a while. If you slide it open, turn it round and look at the back of the screen on the left and right side... do you see light from the screen coming through due to the rubber stuff being rubbed off gradually. It looks like dried glue on the back of my phone! The music player is pretty . I was hoping for that sliding album covers you get on an IPhone. And the only reason i didnt get an IPhone is because i didnt wanna look like one of them bellends that have one for just the fact of having them. I thought this phone would be better. But it isnt at all. ITS SOOO CRAP! but i cant really do anything about it except wait until the contracts over... but im sure the phone will commit suicide before then!                       I have purchased a nokia N97 on 1.8.2009 n from that day the mobile has been sent for around 10 times to nokia care for repair n still it's with them from last 10 days n it was for rs 34000 n they have updated software twice n losing all my personel data Inc imp pics ..n phone no.....so I have suffered both monetary n personel loss from that mobile that I have purchased for 34000..n I have requested to nokia for replacement but time after time they just keep it for software updation...                       Nokia N97 — sluggish response of the company

                      i had given an n97 white, a euro made model, with imei [protected] for repair. the issue was the touch screen and camera which was resolved but was taken back by the company as there was some quality check failure. i had recieved a call saying that the slider had some problem and it would take about 10 days for repair. its been 12 days and i am still unaware as to where my cellphone is.
                      they are charging a hefty amount, fine, but atleast i should be aware of as to what is the progress. the only phone number i was provided with is either busy or nobody picks up, and its been the same since the last 4 days. i am thoroughly frustated !!!

                      Nokia's N97 is a crap I purchased for 33000.It's not worth buying a phone that Hangs atleast 10 times in 16 hrs o[censored]sage.No doubt it has a dynamic interface but the softwere is lousy.If Offered full refund i wiould like to surrender the phone.
                      nokia n97 does not work properly, it use to hang in every hour and also the camera quality is not upto the 5 mp.
                      The N97 is the biggest pile of crap I've ever owned. I've always been loyal to Nokia as the phones were always very reliable, but the N97 is awful...The faults seem endless, even after the latest updates, the ones that are really getting on my nerves are:

                      - Slide to answer, this works ok when you answer the call, but it's impossible to hang up, yanking the battery is the only solution
                      - Applications, memory full, another restart
                      - Phone hangs for no reason
                      - Battery life is absolutely appauling, less than a day
                      - Phone reception is dreadful, signal is always dropping
                      - Operating system just seems so antiquated when you compare to an iPhone
                      - It's not a pleasuring experience using the phone, no swish graphics, or fade in and out's, just clunk, clunk, clunk through is endless menus
                      - The phone unlock slider is an absolute comedy addition, how many times do you need to actually do the slider before it actually unlocks
                      - WHY DIDN'T I GET AN IPHONE...!!!

                      I've purchased Nokia N97 on 25th Jul'2009, 2 days after purchasing it started hanging several times a day, When taken to shop where i bought they told to go to Nokia care and get it checked, these people updated the software and told that the problem will be solved, few days it was going ok, suddenly the same problem arised and when the same was taken to Nokia care on 2nd Sep they reinstalled the Nokia software again and told that problem is resolved, Few days after the wire less operations (Blue tooth, FM etc) stopped working, it was re submitted on 23rd of Sep and they took around 20 days to get the thing fixed, they told that the part was replaced, again on 14th dec it was submitted to Nokia care as vibrator was not working and hanging problem has again started, the phone has been submitted and it is told that it will again take some 15 days to get the same gixed, Nokia should know that they are making phones to be used not to be kept deposited at Nokia care for months, out of 4 months it is lying with nokia care for a month.
                      I dont know that whether I've bought the Nokia phone for ease o[censored]sage or for getting frequent visits to Nokia care, Similar case was observed with my previous Nokia model N96, out of 1 year o[censored]sage it was lying at Nokia care for 4 months, Now i would like that some one senior from nokia care to call me back on priority today itself or I'm going to file a case in consumer court.
                      I agree with everything and then some. Just think for a minute that these frauds released in cold blood a "high end" phone (that I paid $600 without contract) two years after the iPhone with not even enough memory that gives "out of memory" messages after a few sms received. In 2009! And a slow drive (or USB I don't know) that craps out in the middle of transfers, and a music library that only partially updates etc... This will be my last Nokia. They have played with and lost ALL my trust.

                      Guys! I have never posted about a phone or anything else for that matter, but everything that 1st guy said is spot on. Oh and the stupid intermitant slider, I mean how hard can it be to have an on off screen button... the whole phone left me feeling like cheapo china ebay crap (no offence china but you know what I mean). Check this, within 4hrs of recieving the phone the camera slider window had picked up dust and scratched the lens causing white out with the flash. Heck my 4 year old N95 which lives in my tool box still takes perfect pictures. Ohhhhh and the clicks, clicks clicks, screen taps, presses whatever, if I want to make a feckin call then just make the feckin call I dont need options to do video calls or whatever. Though my favourite screw your head up is the way a contacts phone number is displayed for only a fraction of the time required to write it down or relay to someone... just brilliant.

                      Seriously I think Satan must have demented a lot of minds for the N97 to have been developed, tested, tested again, put into production, and sold.

                      So enough already. Have decided to backup contents onto mini-sd and go back to my N96... LOL!! OH DEAR it cant even do that, says "backing up" but no file created or message etc.

                      Honestly bearing in mind how good Nokia were, the N97 is an utter abomination to humanity. It doesnt get any worse, the people involved should in total honesty be given access to medical care or a priest (depending on your beliefs).

                      Ive had a lot of phones including anoying Windows Mobiles which are totally stupid and utterly anoying but the N97 takes the crown as the most stupid device I have encountered, it is without doubt the greatest bungle of all time.

                      Nokia N97 — Camera Problem with flash

                      I had purchased N97 on 15-10-09 from Mobile Link, Noida, Ph.[protected],[protected] IMIE No.[protected] and within a month, the phone developed problems. The screen ( internal ) got corrupted and no image was coming on the screen. Also, the camera while taking a shot would make the pictures hazy from one end with monochrome tone. I deposited the same at Micronas Telcom, [protected],[protected] for repair. They charged about 2500/- without giving any bill and details of the complaint and the repair details. THe screen problem was sorted out, however, the picture from camera were still giving bad images. I had again deposited the camera for repair on 27-01-10. I got the phone back today without the problem being rectified and once again without any bill or details of the complaint attended.

                      On accessing the Internet, I have found that it is a MANUFACTURING DEFECT without any solution from the manufacturer.

                      It is my request that the phone is taken back by the company and full amount of Rs.30,096/- be refunded to me.

                      Please assist and HELP.

                      I've had this phone no longer than 3 months. It's already been in for repair once and my network are refusing to change the handset despite telling me they have had major problems with this phone! I am also paying for insurance as my bank refused to insure the phone with regards to the price tag it carried! Very unhappy with Nokia!
                      Ive had my N97 for 6 months and I hate it. I wish I had stayed with LG or even Samsung. I hate it. Nothing works, updates font or rather cant install cos weve go no memory to use. Absolute pile of [censored]e that I am going to buy a cheap pay as you go and use that handset. It will be better than this piece if poo.
                      I have had a Nokia of various types for a very long time, i bought a Nolkia 97 thinking it would be equaly easy to use. Crap is too small a word how Nokia have the gall to sell such a phone i have no idea, Even in a belt pocket mode switches to offline or meeting, trying to find a number is hell, battery is rubbish, It is hell syncroniseing with my PC and most of the time does not, Frankly i think that Nokia should refund the £500 that i spent on it.

                      I second that motion. I dont have problem with the battery life but the phone has a mind of its own. It restarts randomly at least 3 times a day the ringers change always never can i get signal when my wifes blackberry is at full bar in the same room. It cant handle two open apps at the same time or it will freeze. Cant unlock it at times screen just stay dark. I picked this phone because i thought nokia had a good product but boy was i wrong. Speakers sound like crap Internet is slow and horribly put together. App store is #$#%#$, home screen is not customizable. oh wait it is but now user customizable. I could go on an on for days needless to say i miss my G1.
                      The sad part about these complaints is that NOKIA already has our money, doesn't care and will never fix this phone. They hope we will go away and get sucked in to their next piece of crap when our contracts run out. They will not release firmware to correct all of these faults because there are too many. They are laughing at us because they are in Helsinki counting our cash and we are not. The best we can do is to get it out there that they are no longer worthy of anyones business. I slag off at them to anyone who will listen and every time my phone does something stupid I show someone.
                      This thing shuts down constantly, wont play hardly any video files that I convert, won't zoom on photos, lights on keyboard time out, the worst predictive text ever, crap unlock slide, slow and not even a good telephone. Also no letters on the number pad, Try dialing 1800NOKIASUX on the phone.

                      Kindly understand the whole situation..i preferred the nokia N97 over i-phone(its strongest competetor)due to these reasons 1)In India, nokia is the leading mobile company 2)easy service availability in case of any default i.e.Nokia Care 3)i-phone was not available in white colour so, i bought a white N[protected]/03/025885/5)on 02/09/2009..inspite of knowing the fact that i-phone is much more successful worldwide than nokia N97,i had faith on Nokia...but my decision was wrong.Within 2 months my cel started hanging very frequently,touchscreen malfunctioned , disgusting photo quality by camera etc etc..i submitted my cel to Nokia Care in December end..after approx. 15 days i got my cel back wid touchscreen problem solved..but still Hanging, Camera problems etc persist..after somedays,i again went to nokia care and and asked about the problems which were not resolved..they took my cel and demanded approx. 15 days time to eliminate all the problems..finally after approx. 15 days i got a call from them that my handset has been replaced wid a new one..i thought all my troubles related to my cel are over but that was the beginning..company had sent a Black N97 which almost made me lose my temper..they asked me to accept that but i refused and asked to give me White N97..they again demanded 15 days time, i had no other option..i waited for 15 days more hoping to get a white cel but again company sent the black one..i again refused..again 15 days more..for me, White colour was a major reason to buy N97 so i colud not even think o[censored]sing the black one..Finally after approx. 2.5 months i got a white N97..but that was not the end..after coming home i discovered that company has given me an old Nokia N[protected]/03/928311/9) wid some scratches and many (approx. 600) family photos of its previous owner.. now i have no other option except to contact the higher authorities..thats why i am mailing you..and if still no action is taken ..i would definitely reach CONSUMER COURT level because its a matter of Rs. 32,000/- Handset and immense patience and tolerence..i am a medical student and through social networking and blogging,i can raise this problem to any level.. so, this time i want an instant action from NOKIA..
                      I have had similar experiences with Nokia N95. On investigation I found out that all these Nokia sets being sold in India are made in China where quality is not assured. Other chinese goods are at least priced cheaply and one does not mind taking a chance.But Nokia company is milking us by charging the maximum for substandard cell phones and there after sales service is abysmal to say the least. I think we would have to write to the govt and seek an embargo on the import of such shoddy goods. Also we need to create customer awareness to boycott these cell phones

                      Nokia N97 — Frequent non responsive behaviour of phone

                      The nokia n97 frequently stops responding.every time we take it to nokia care they say the problem can be solved using software update and update the software but even after 4-5 software changes the problem still persists.the phone even went to delhi but came back with a software update.we wish a replacement of the product.
                      even the customer service is extremly poor.when we ask for a replacement they say it cannot be replaced.the phone was bought on 15 aug 2009 for a sum of 35000 from a authorized nokia store.

                      I've purchased brand new handset from Mobile Store, Mumbai on 6th April, 2010. since second day it start malfunctioning and I contacted with Nokia Care, where they have reset my software and given me back. even though phone continue malfunction. I've submitted the handset to different Nokia cares several times and every time they re-install my software and given it back to me. in mean time the silver polish start vanishing from several spots of my brand new handset. lastly I've contacted Nokia customer care via mail and they responded me back and ask to submit handset again to Nokio Care again they will take care of of issues. when I submit my handset they ask to wait for 10 days as it will go to Headoffice. In case of hope I agree but when I got back handset its again in same problems I denied to accept handset and mail back to nokia care. They ask Cosmetic is not under warranty if I want to fix it I have to pay for that. its wired. my handset again back to headoffice and it almost 20 days. since starting I'm facing lot of problem with the handset cost more than Rs. 23K. I'm planning to go to Consumer Court for that, Not sure if able to fight with them or not.
                      MASSIVE FRUSTRATION with this phone from day 1. Vodaphone service is to send it away and return it clean of data but by the time 80 contacts are transferred from the sim were back to a useless article thank goodness for my old sony ericsson or I would be out of touch. Bollox to Vodaphone who take £60 pm month from me for a business account and bollox to Nokia. I have steered clear of Apple but maybe I should go witht he flow and get some kit that delivers on the promise.

                      13 months into a contract with vodaphone, would it cost £60 pm if I pitched up with my old sony and asked for a contract without a handset...you bet your bollox it would. Do they want to talk about a reduction in cost even though they have failed to provide a working handset you bet your bollox they don't. Poor biz. they will never get any more custom from me and I will take every opportunity to trash there reputation. 02 are not perfect but a Rolls alongside a Kia in car terms.
                      The N97 I have owned for 1 year now is the worst phone on Orange which I have ever owned and has got worst after every update.I will nevr go orange or Nokia again, ever both are crap, Orange do not gurantee my home reception, great cop-out because I have none.1% out of 100, 1% for the fact you can throw and hurt potential attackers.

                      as i try to start it it only disply NOKIA logo on start up and hangs up.
                      previously after 10 to 15 power button push it started but now its totaly stuck.

                      I bought N97 a year but still I donot find the design as user-friendly. The app or call wont exit and battery might discharge within minutes of charging. Even when everything is fine the mobile/music/camera hardly works for over two hours without recharging.

                        I purchased Nokia N73 handset in Nov. 2007. I bought this handset because of it's 3G feature. To my shock after a few days of purchase i came to know that this is Nokia N73-5 RM 132 handset and it is not a 3G handset. The fact is Nokia has 2 variants of Normal N73 handset.
                        1. N73-1 which is RM 133 handset and it is 3G handset.
                        2. N73-5 which is RM 132 handset and is a non 3G handset.

                        Nokia has nowhere mentioned on their website about non 3G version of N73. There are only two versions of N73

                        1. N73 Normal and 2. N73 Music Edition. And according to Nokia both are 3G handset.

                        My question is why is Nokia fooling us customers like this ? They are selling a non 3G Rm 132 handset at the same price of RM 133 3G handset. This is unfair practice. I sent many mails requesting replacement with RM 133 handset but all replies from Nokia stated that they are not in a position for replacement.

                        Will nokia change my handset with a 3G handset ? My handset is still under warranty.

                          I am one of the Nokia mobile users for the past 5 years. All my family members are using only Nokia mobiles and I also recommended my friends & colleagues to go for Nokia.
                          I had trust on it before but not now… I am sorry to say that…. Because you people made me to do so.


                          I am really Sorry to say that I lost all my confidence and faith with NOKIA.


                          I never had such a worst experience from the NOKIA CARE.


                          Let me explain the problem.


                          " I purchases a New Mobile NOKIA - HANDSET – N79 I - BLACK from one of your vendor ".Beecham’s Press Pvt Limited M – 6, Connaught Place New Delhi 11001 " on Nov 09, 2009. I came to see that it gets hanged or struck and display problem in between very often while using and the mobile becomes stops functioning, then I have to remove the battery and then reset the mobile and then only I have can use it. I thought it might be loose contact or the battery might not properly pack. I very often found that my mobile hanged. On Nov 25, 2009 I took to the vendor where I bought, they redirected me to NOKIA CARE at Veenus Communication (Nokia Care Center 115 A Pocket D Main Road Phase III Ashok Vihar New Delhi 110052 Contact no[protected] Email Address: [protected]@nokiacareindia.com and MY Job Sheet Number: 7429 Dt 17/Jan/2009). At first they checked it and told it was a Display Problem, and they told me to take it day after today. next day was shutting down the office. Then i visited the Veenus Communication on next day at 1.00 PM on Dated 19/ Jan/2009. then the executive told me your phone still not repaired it will be repaired on Evening you can collect the phone on Evening 19 / Jan / 2009. Then i visited the Veenus Communication on Evening at 4.00 PM on Dated 19/ Jan/2009 then the executive told me your phone still not repaired & told me we are unable here to resolve the problem of your handset your phone will be repaired on head office & this process will take approx 15 Days. I asked them please inform the correct date so that I can come at right time. (Because I work for (ZEE NEWS) as an Asst Manager. My Home is at Jahangir Puri and my work place is at FC 19 Sector 16 A Noida. Ashok Vihar is around 50 Kms away from my Office. I used to go my office early around 8 AM and return Home late nights in the evening, so I had hard time to track the status of my mobile.



                          Request to you please check the status of my phone & give me replacement the phone ASAP. Becasue i cant wait for 15 Days at least i spend 15000 Rs two month back.



                          And finally I kindly request to you because you represent NOKIA to give right Information to customer and commit yourself what you say... Or don’t spoil the Brand name"...
                          See the loyalty to the customer it not me suffered there are many customer like me….

                          I need a Solution for this….

                            since I have purchased this set i.e 7610supernova on dated 22 jan 2009. set is not working properly there are so many complaints attended by your centres several times but not up to the satisfaction. on dated 27th aug 2009 again set is deposited at your service centre at jwala heri, new delhi and i was told to collect after 15 days .

                                      Hi,

                                      I had purchased a Nokia N71 in the month of October, 2008 and the handset is still covered under warranty.

                                      The Power ON/OFF button of my phone is not functioning and the battery back up of my phone has reduced to only 18 Hours which is resulting in non performance of an expensive handset like E71.

                                      I had visited the Nokia Care outlet but I was told that both these issues are out of warranty and I will be required to pay an amount of Rs.1500(INR) to have the same repaired and leave the handset with the service centre for 15 days. Also the Nokia care centre people refused to back up the data stored on my phone and ARROGANTLY told me that it is not their job and responsibility!!

                                      My question is how come these issues are out of warranty??..and if these things are out of warranty then what is covered under warranty.

                                      I have been a Nokia customer since last 10 years and this is my sixth Nokia phone but never did I face any problem with any of my Nokia phones. I feel cheated by an esteemed brand like Nokia.

                                      I request you to kindly have the set replaced or repaired ASAP so that the trust of an old customer on an esteemed brand like Nokia is restored.

                                      I will wait for two weeks (Fifteen Days) for your reply to the best of my satisfaction before moving either to the consumer courts or the local Press.

In the month of april i have purchased the nokia 5800 xpress music, last week (4.9.09) i visited the nokia care in teynampet (franchisee univercell) regarding some drops of water has been entered in my phone, they put job sheet underno warranty claim, after one day the returned my phone stating that the software was not running and it is not possible to switch on the phone, i returned back and i gave it in taambaram nokia care they immediately insereted the battery and checked out the phone the phone got switched on and the software was running.

                                      To my shock after opening the phone they returned the phone stating that 3 of the screws were changed and the above mentioned nokia care has disconnected the display wire by mistake and they quoted that this phone was not surely handled by expert it is been handled by some one who was not familiar with this phone .and also im having the false evidence which was given by them.

                                      I'm one of the prospectig customer of nokia still now i doesn"t move to anyother brand other than nokia in our family we have nearly 14 phones .


                                      wat am trying to say is the teynampet nokia care has given me false report and they have handled my phone carelessly and i need a prompt and a concrete reason for the above quoted problem, this is not fair with your nokia care service.and i need my phone in full working condition, it is been well known that nokia is the most trusted brand of the year to maintain the same and to prosper your customers like me please do the needfull, with all the hope on you I'm concluding here.

As the time was bounded i could on contact the care immediately on saturday the 22-08-09 i gave my phone to the nokia care in yamunanagar, haryana in hope of getting it replaced but they took it for repair & send it to delhi for repair. approximately after 20 days they are not able to tell the status of the phone. i shall be highly obleiged if you look in to this matter & quickly get it replaced.

                                      I too brought Nokia phone on 14/02/09 and have given thrice for repairing for the same problem.THis time when it again went out of service i asked them for replacement as my phone is a brand new phone with a proper bill but as usual Nokia Care centre refused and said they found some liquid in it thatsy cant b replaced.

                                      This phone was a defetive piece and i faced the problem the very next week after i got it.nokia music express has a software problem as everybody faces the same problem.Once switched off cant be on again.
                                      If this kind of products will b sold to customers they will have to shut down soon as no 1 will buy nokia again.

                                      And though 1000 of customer care is open its of no use.They never accept their fault.Instead of replacing blame it on the customers.

                                      If it continues i will have to file a legal notice against the company.

                                      Hi,

                                      I had purchased a Nokia 3110c in the month of September, 2009 and the handset is still covered under warranty.

                                      hingh problem The 18 time bate 18 time software reload back the my phone 13-14 hours which is resulting in non performance of an expensive handset like 3110c.

                                      I had visited the Nokia Care outlet but I was told that both these issues are out of Software problem reload warranty and I will be required to pay an amount of Rs.1000(INR) to have the same repaired and leave the handset with the service centre for 15 days. Also the Nokia care centre people refused to back up the data stored on my phone and ARROGANTLY told me that it is not their job and responsibility!!

                                      wat am trying to say is the teynampet nokia care has given me false report and they have handled my phone carelessly and i need a prompt and a concrete reason for the above quoted problem, this is not fair with your nokia care service.and i need my phone in full working condition, it is been well known that nokia is the most trusted brand of the year to maintain the same and to prosper your customers like me please do the needfull, with all the hope on you I'm concluding here.

                                      My question is how come these issues are out of warranty??..and if these things are out of warranty then what is covered under warranty.

                                      I have been a Nokia customer since last 9 years and this is my sixth Nokia phone but never did I face any problem with any of my Nokia phones. I feel cheated by an esteemed brand like Nokia.

                                      I request you to kindly have the set replaced or repaired ASAP so that the trust of an old customer on an esteemed brand like Nokia is restored.

                                      I will wait for two foure (Fifteen Days) for your reply to the best of my satisfaction before moving either to the consumer courts or the local Press.

                                      SUB: REPLACE MY HANDSET DUE TO PROGRAMMING ERROR

                                      I have purchase new handset nokia express music 5130 during the month of june 2010, but i regret to inform that it has poor service, the FM and loudspeaker of this phone do not work from the very beginning, i didnt understand why it has poor service, please register my complaint and replace my handset.



                                      I believe on nokia blindly with their services and robustness. But just after one month, the handset started giving troubles. Its key was not working properly and gradually it stoped working.



                                      since the then time the mobile set is FM problems. for that i have requested the shopkeeper to replace or repair it but unfortunately atlest 30 repeatidly visits to the shop, i always have been assured for the next time for the same. now i am fedup with that situation.



                                      I REQUEST U TO REPLACE MY HANDSET BECAUSE I M NOT SATISFIED WITH THE SERVICE OF NOKIA EXPRESS MUSIC EVEN FOR A SINGLE DAY. HELP ME TO MAKE D.O THAN I CAN REPLACE MY HANDSET WHICH IS NOT WORKING INTIALLY I HAVE PURCHASE THIS HANDSET JUST BEFORE 15 DAYS AND SOFTWARE PROGRAMMING OF MY PHONE HAS ERROR AS PER NOKIA CARE.

                                      Nokia care in Haridwar is cheating the customers blindly and earning Money making a universal reason that set is fall in liquid/water.
                                      although, truely the problem with set is software.

                                      Please take necessary action at your end sothat such type of customer care
                                      should not Cheat the customers.

                                      This bhuvan from salem ihave purchased nokia 5233 from nokia priority shop (4 roads, new bustand)weak before.I have problem on volume.I showed on service point they changed buzzer and gave but the problem was not solved .the person says in this model the volume will be less.but while purchasing that person dint say any thing about the volume.am i fool to buy this cell.please replace this model for another model or return my amount. i lost hope in buying nokia phone.

                                        1) Nokia E63 is not listed in Blackberry Internet Service provided (RIM), When I had checked by Airel / Vodaphone / MTNL they said only Nokia E61, E61i, E71 etc.. are in support list they can use this facilities. (Unlimited e-mail for Rs. 245/- to 299/-).

                                        2) When every Network is week and we try to pickup call Nokia E63 hangs and we have to reboot handset (Like we do in Windows).

                                        I am also disappointed at no blackberry support on E63 which might be released soon but however the performance of E63 is good and i never faced any problems where in i had to restart phone. Suggestion is not to install too many applications on the phone which are readily available on net which might corrupt the phone and make way for viruses...
