Hi, My sister had given my Nokia E-5 for repairing at the Nokia Authorized Care Center in Gurgaon, Sector-14. We told them about a problem with the camera and maybe teh battery. They returned teh battery to us, stating taht first they would like to fix the camera etc. They gave my sister an estimate of Rs.1850/- approximately. When she asked them why should she spend so much, and would rather buy a new handset, the engineer replied that these were minor issues, so why should she spend Rs.10500/- to buy a similar handset again, when she can spend a much smaller amount to fix it. After that, she forwarded some smses to her phone from my instrument, plus also sent some data through blue tooth from my instrument to hers, as we feared that formatting may lead to data loss. A few days later, the engineer called her to say that they had fixed the camera, but some wire that was responsible for the network on the phone was by mistake damaged by them while fixing the camera, as it was close to the camera wire. He said sorry and told her that now the phone would never work. My sister was shocked and called him again a day or so later to ask him as to what he had done exactly. He repeated the same story and apologised. She was very upset with him. After that, none o[censored]s were able to go to the care center as we were out of town. When I returned after a couple of weeks, though my sister was again out of town, I went to the center to meet the manager and told him that he needs to address it and either fix the instrument or replace it. He took a long time discussing the issue with his people and then came out telling me that the engineer was out of town and would return after 3-4 business days so I need to wait. He also gave me false stories about the network not working in the 1st place. This was shocking to me, as infront of them my sister had even sent smses plus data from my phone to hers, and I had been calling from the instrument before giving it for repairs, so how come all that had been possible without network. On friday, May 23rd 2014, finally some engineer called me stating false lies again about some issue being there with the network beforehand and told me that he would again undo the corrective measures he had taken to fix teh camera so but cannot fix the network, as it was damaged already. I was shocked how these people came coming up with lies after knowing the truth that they had damaged, to get me justice. They have to either repair my instrument back to perfect working order, or now they must give me a brand new instrument of my choice. They cannot harass customers and damage devices that we give them to repair out of trust, that it is an authorized center. I would request you to look at closing down such a center and cancelling their licence. Also they should owe damages for harassment to me, and I am certain there are several other customers they would have harassed. Please take action. Any other details can be furnished confidentially!
