NSDL E-Governance Infrastructure — Money deducted from the bank but the transaction failed

I applied for an e-PAN card from the NSDL website and initiated a transaction of Rs8.26 for the same. I selected UPI as a mode of payment and entered my PhonePe UPI credentials. After successfully transferring the amount, the website returned an error message stating that the transaction failed. On raising a help ticket with PhonePe, they confirmed that the money reached merchant account and initiating a refund from my end is not feasible. Although Rs8.26 is a small amount for an individual, if 1000 people transact every day and get same error message after making the payment, the scam is huge. It's Rs8, 260 per day, Rs2, 47, 800 per month and Rs30, 14, 900 annually per 1000 people.

Don't worry mam about nsdl they will refund you, if you have any payment error issues, only they will take time for this. 7 business days they will take for same and you will get refund.
