Ola Cabs / Ani Technologies — Arbitrary billing charges | |||
On 4th june, 2017 at 3pm, i booked a ride on ola cab (Vehicle no. Dl1rtc0173, driver vikas) through my mobile app, from sector 137, noida to surya nagar, ghaziabad. At the time of booking, the estimated ride amount was shown as rs.533. The ride started as booked and the driver followed the route originally shown on the app to the driver as well as to me. There was no diversion of route. After starting the trip, midway, i got the sms that the ride amount would be 534. After reaching the drop point, the driver asked me to pay rs.638 and not rs.534. I told him the amount shown on my mobile is rs.534 only and hence i cannot pay more than rs.534. This amount was adjusted from my ola money balance of rs.533. When i refused to pay the higher amount, the driver called his office and asked them to revise the fare to rs.638 on my mobile also. After about half an hour, i got a sms that the ride amount was rs.637 and not rs.534. I did not accept such arbitrary revision in ride fare and immediately requested ola to review and correct the mistake. I have sent several email messages to ola on the above problem but they are not resolving the problem. Instead, they keep on repeating the stereotype message. It is clearly high handedness of ola management who are trying to fleece passengers by such arbitrary revision in ride fare after completion of the ride.
