I booked a ride from Indirapuram (Ghaziabad) to Terminal-3, Delhi airport on 03.10.2021. The distance is around 36-38 km. I was shown an amount of Rs. 534 at starting. When the cab (driver name: Hemant kumar, mini Ritz) dropped me at terminal-3, the OLACAB application shown an amount of 699 INR. Driver told me to pay full and later ask the company to return if any extra amount is there. I was quite late since I had to board my flight hence I paid him. Later while escalating this issue over support of OLABAS (Ref. no.[protected] I found they charged me twice for Delhi MCD STATE tax (200 instead of 100 INR). OLACABS responded me that since you paid cash to driver, this amount can-not be returned to you.
I want to ask higher management (Hope they have higher management) of OLACABS, what are the approved/legal ways of such payments (700 INR) in India that is approved by Government of India?
I understand the payments can only be in cash (approved by government of India) or electronic (approved by government of India). I made cash payment to OLACAB driver.
Why any excess amount collected by your OLACAB driver can-not be returned to us? I didn't have paid it as TIP.
Is this your regular practice to collect excess money and putting excuses like this money can-not be returned?
I have already provide my account details over OLACABS support forum.
Hope to receive it.
