Ola Cabs / Ani Technologies — my ola account was hacked / compromised and i am not getting my money back | |||
I have been using ola for around 4-5 months without any concerns over their services. In the last week of march, my account was compromised / hacked. According to ola, someone somehow hijacked my ola account, changed the phone number from mine to theirs, and used the ola money to perform a phone recharge. I could see that this all happened in a matter of hours. I used ola's services, paid using ola money, and in the next 2 hours or so, i was asked to relogin to my ola app. My account was wiped clean and logged in successfully as a new user. As a result, i lost considerable amount of money, my previous transactions, and valuable time in following this up. Ola, after multiple follow ups, clearly mentioned that the money cannot be refunded since this is an account hacking / compromise incident. The perpetrator's card and account have been sealed off and that would be the best ola can do to address my concerns. As a person who has for long used your services without issues, i feel let down and deeply saddened by this incident and especially that you cannot give my own money back atleast.
