Dear sir, i seen a advertisement on olx for a activa registration no mp9 5316. Discussion the person told me he was in defense at pune, pay only courier charges and then remaining amount later.
It was a case of fraud by using name of indian army.
For which i given complaint to rau police station and to olx for lost rs. 24, 000/-
Still that person was active on olx.
Can you please support me?

This guy messaged me on my mobile number... and asked me to join the job for free ... No registration fee... He asked me to reply and give his number to the people who need this job ... and after 1 week he will pay me Rs.1000 for my work... I did my job, it is been more than 2 weeks now ... that guy is ignoring my calls ... even if he picks up the call ... he doesnt talk at all... n he replies on whatsapp that he cannot hear my voice. how lame is that i could hear his tv sound from the background, i could hear him burping...n still he lied... i called him almost 13 times today n he didnt speak at all... i am continuously messaging him on whatsapp... he just replies " Hi" or "yes" that's all he does... i have blocked him .. n i will never do any olx job hence forth ... It is not worth giving ur hardwork or putting stamina and money into these things.. Never works.. i have tried 3 times.. n didnt get paid ... i lost 1200 bucks last month. Get a real job and earn.

A person name Praveen with mobile number [protected] from Rajasthan is creating chaos on OLX. Recently he called me with politely and tried to get my bank OTP by saying genuine buyer. I warned him and next day he put fake advertisement of my car and trying other innocent buyer to make advance payment. I complained on cyber cell and i also received call from Punjab police who also got the call from him by fake seller. I strongly feel this fraud...

I bought iphone 7 plus 128 gb for 25k amd the seller personally met me and i bought that on the spot and he didn’t provided bill and box and after service centre i got to know that the iphone was fake and he is not taking it back and not attending my calls. I have been cheated physically and he took that money later and the phone looked original and due to less knowledge he made me fool and I’m not able to contact him and get my money back.

My neighbour sister living in kerala she told me to find a job i request her to put ad on olx so she initiate an ad looking for job one. One lady contacted her due to language issue she (My neighbour sister) ask me to contact her and collect details so i called her.. She attended the phone i asked her for details she replied two question rudely and i asked her which company after that she scolds me very rudely she scold in bad words and all other local words towards me in tamil im begging you to take necessary action regarding this and i also going to raise a complaint in all social platforms and police of behaving rude like this (That rude girl number[protected])

I am searching for bullet bike. I saw the add of shrikant ubale then i call me. He send pictures of bullet, adhar car, pan card. He send me to pay 5150 for transport purpose. Then he say to pay 13000 for the army transport verification. He said that bike will be delivered next day but bike not delivered. Bike deal was decided for 75000. I given all amount by paytm. All this fraud happened with me....

While going through the options of Activa scooter on OLX, i came across an advertisement of Activa 2018 model @Rs. 28000 in pretty good condition as could be seen in the posted pictures on OLX. I sent a message to the seller like i sent to the other sellers as well. He replied back with his contact number ([protected]) and i got in touch with him.

He introduced himself as Mr. Sanjay Singh, an Army personnel and shared his pan card copy. He told me that he was working in Bangalore and has been transferred to Hyderabad, and hence wishes to sell the bike immediately. He has a whatsapp photo in army uniform.

He took all my details like, correspondence address, permanent address, adhaar card and passport size photograph to transport the bike to the provided address. He asked me to pay him the money once i receive the scooter.

Today in the morning he called me and claimed to be in the courier service office of the army quarters, he even made me speak to the courier guy, who then asked me to pay for the transport cost which was Rs. 3200. He gave me his courier service's paytm number [protected].

I sent him the money and he sent me the transcript of the courier of the activa with proper number of the bike on it. The transcript also has stamps of Indian Army.

I have tried to get in touch with the delivery person on the given number on the document but the number is switched off. He has committed to deliver the scooter tomorrow. So i shall be waiting for what comes next!

Now when i came back to OLX today and went back to his chat, i found a message from you guys saying that he might be a fraud!! Post which i went to read more about this guy claiming to be working for Indian Army and came across a few more complaints against him posted in 2018 & 2019.

How could OLX be so irresponsible and be allowing a person to continue with his fraudulent activities even after so many complaints from different users across cities on OLX.

He has committed to deliver the activa scooter tomorrow. Just now got a message from him; he has provided me the delivery person name and number as Jaffer [protected].

What kind of hoax is this!!!??? How can a company be so irresponsible towards their customers. On a consumer forum complaint against this guy OLX has claimed to have blocked this seller!!!

I shall be filling an FIR against this guy tomorrow if i don't receive the scooter. I was about to finalise a deal on active on Quickr but due to this case that has also got sold out. I have wasted my time, energy and money into this. I missed to go to my work because of my increased stress levels due to the fraud that took place. I shall be filling a complaint against OLX too, given such negligence from the company and not caring about people's time and money.

I want OLX to compensate me for the loss of my deal and the loss borne by me by not being at work today.

Today one advertisement of Royal Enfield Classic 350 cc 2019 ( Khaki Color) blinking on Olx for sell in Phaltan Region, Satara. They claiming as this vehicle belongs to the Army and asking for money 3150/- first time. I paid online through the QR code sent by them [protected]@okhdfcbank; mail id: [protected]@gmail.com; mobile number +91-[protected] and [protected]. They submitted their information by whats app aadhar card, RC, Identity card, army slip (challan), RC details, transportation, and vehicle details. For making the slip they taken my Adhar card number and soft copy. After 5 hrs told delivery of the vehicle scheduled on the address come and pay 15000/- amount online on the same id provided earlier. But we went to the given address nobody was there. They ignored us and telling first give money by online each time they called from a new number. After a few mins, we understand that it is fake and we return back.
But they are calling and telling me that they will miss using the aadhar number.
Kindly caught this gang and stop the other person from cheating and avoid the misuse of OLX further.
This is a simple case for you. Kindly take on priority and do it.

I posted an add of mattress selling. O put 3000 cost of that. I got a call from olz user saying that i want to purchase mattress and give u money from paytm. He sent a link on my phone and asked me to click on that when i clik on that 3000 rupee deducted from my account. He said he is refunding money and sent a link again. This time when i clicked on that 5000 amonut deducted after that when i asked him what are u doing and why u r taking my money by sending link he switched off his phone...

A fake army named Sahil Kumar had a chat with me on OLX and told me that he is having iphone 6s for which I have to pay 30% amount in advance and rest after getting the phone but on 9th july 2019 he called me and told me that your courier has reached your destination but you will have to pay rest of the money then only I will get my phone. So I paid a total amount of Rs 11, 160 to him through Google Pay but after that he didn't delivered my phone. I trusted him because he sent me his job id card and pan card along with aadhar card but now I an regretting for my mistake. Please help me I am in deep sorrow. His mobile number is [protected]

Fraudsters claiming to be army personnel tried to dupe me twice in one day (Two separate cases) through google pay. They asked me to send a screenshot of the qr code, and just to confirm the account tried to get me to send them money (Even though i was the seller).

Both very similar cases, same way of talking. Please ask the customers to beware of people claiming to be army personnel in case of online payment.

I have kept an ad of iphone xs max. A malaysian guy took the offer. He asked all the details of the bank to which the money was to be transferred. I gave him all the details through whatsapp. At first the bank sent me a mail to send the shipping reciept i did sent it. Then the next day i got a mail of to transfer 10k as the account that i gave was a local bank (It seems) i did a transfer of 10k. The next day i got a mail again to transfer 20k as my phone did not have insurance i did the same. Then the bank sent me a mail that due to a technical error i have to again transfer 20k; when the error/problem is with the bank why should i transfer the amount. I want my money either to be transferred from the malaysian bank (Maybank is its name). Or else i want my money to be refunded as early as possible. The product has reached the person already. Please report this fraud.

Someone is trying to use my number for olx transactions. I recieved 2 times olx verification code with message title "vk-olxind" in last 7 days. After recieving code i recieved a call from number [protected], he ask for code i recieved and said that tell me the code you recieved, it is required for sim verification if you not tell the code your sim will be blocked... It happens two times in last 7 days please make some needfull, it also affects the reputation of olx...

I had posted my old sofa and chair in olx for sale and i got call from one of the person claiming that he is interested and if the price is negotiable. I said ok give me 500 less and he said he will be making payment through online, i said ok.
He told me to send my upi id and he will make payment from googlepay and i whatsapped him the upi id of mine. After an hour got a call and he said to openthe google pay and i said ok then i got a request of amount which i had quoted to pay to him and he made sum lame excuse of making payment though card and the amount will go to wallet and then i have to transfer it to my savings. I had option of pay and decline on google pay which alerted me that its a fraudster trying to get money from me. I said first of all there is no wallet in google pay and account to account payment only happens. He tried convincing me but i disconnected the call.

After half an hour got call from another number (may be one more from group ) and he also asked same that he will make payment from online, I said no i want in cash he disconnected it

I got the call from vikas patel he is selling the iphone 7 plus on olx, on friday he asked my contact no to share the phone photos, along with phone photos her has shared all his id prof and army id cards with his some personal photo graphs.
Today he called me up and said if m interested to buy the phone he will courier the phone from army overnite courier for which i have to pay him advance 2150 rs for courier charges.
He asked my aadhar card and address where he will be courier the phone.
But something looks fishy to me, so i have not made any payment to him.
After sometime he what’s app me the indian army courier slip with jaipur army canteen address and mine address and the courier slip was looking like edited, then i googled about indian army courier service and found that some fraud is going on like this.
M lil worried because i have shared my aadhar card with him and also made one 10rs payment from paytm. Please guys be aware of ths kind of fraud and don’t ever make the intent payment to anyone.

We posted an ad. He said payment he will do only through google pay or paytm. We dont use both. We tried to use google pay. He took advantage of our poor knowledge and took money from google pay account. He made us pay him 5000 on a trial basis. So now 5000 is gone from my account. And he is now refusing to refund or give us his address or contact proof or anything to get our money back. Product is still with me. But rs 5000 is gone. He says his name is anit pandya but on google pay it showed as ayub

I posted an ad on olx - bed for 8000. This guy seen my number and called me saying that he will give me an advance of 5000 and will pick up later by giving me remaining amount. He asked me to send google pay qr code which i sent through whatsapp and he started requesting money for which i followed and lost 2000. I have all the screenshots of money being sent. Also the screenshots of the user. I request to please try to get my money back.

I have been using olx for job search, but i have been banned for no reason even olx people didn't send any kind of messages or emails regarding this.
Guys resolve this as soon as possible.

Incident description: i have posted an adv on olx for selling of my center table on july 6th, 2019 and quoted the rate at 7500/-.
I got the call from buyer after one-two hours since i posted my adv on olx. The buyer claimed himself to be rajasthan and buyer was ready to pay the amount of center table through google pay. I agreed to accept the amount. The buyer asked me to share my google pay display qr scan code which i did share to him on whatapps. Initally he sent me a request to pay him 1rs that i paid and amount 1rs is debited and then after sometime 1rs is again credited to my account. The buyer said he was using swiping machine so here google pay works in other way. Then the buyer asked me to do another transaction of 10k. Using the same method. But this time only the amount was debited from my account and there was no credit to my account.
