I just posted the ad on olx i got response from nigirea the girl said to courier the phone from dhl express n she said she will transfer money to me by western union money transfer so i had did wat see said but when that parcel is been track with dhl she started given excuse she started showing fake copy of western union money transfer which was a scam did by her i’m sharing her all details n pls do help me on that

Unknown person manjit, I don't know but he use my vehicle photo and my documents to sale my vehicle and make a fake offer to people

Such details has forwarded to police officer in ahmednagar and sangamner police station
Tell to other person purchase a vehicle at lowest cost
But he is not true owner
And all documents and vehicle at my custody

Pls help me sat nov30 2018 i fixed the deal on olx & respective person assured me to send parcel in 2 hrs by army courier service... First said to pay half payment latter to pay full with all insurance which i got during delivery latter he asked me i pay late this parcel world have gone in 6 months delay... If i dunt do so i pay the penalties late amount also and that around 42000 overall he took from me... Plshelp me... Get my money back... He is fraud i saw his pics in this also... I have been called by the add from olx for a mobile phone one plus 6t one month old and asked to come to mathura as was posted there, name was alok jaitawat number +91 [protected] and said he was in 14 jaat posted in mathura core hence asked me to come there and paytm the amount at number [protected] paytm no named sumit, hence standing in cantonment mathura i paytm he money first 5000, asked that it could not be checked out from army office...

So i saw an add about a mobile phone. Contacted him. He convinced me to buy. He edited pictures from the net and sent. I knew he was tricking me and right when i caught him, he stopped receiving or replying to my calls and messages. Funnily enough he blocked me on whatsapp. I didn't send him any money even though he was asking for 5k. Something needs to be done about this.

This seller : shubham goyal, is not responding after the payment of rs.2950/- for 2 tello batteries. I have transferred the amount to his oriental bank of commerce from my icici bank. After receiving payment he is stopped responding and blocked my number to avoid phone calls. Pls help.

When i am searching for a car in olx, a person name called geetha has called me and said a swift car is there in vishakapatnam air port for sale, but to get the car from airport parking, need to pay 1, 30, 000 as parking fee. She asked pay 1, 30, 000 as initial amount immediately through online and shared sbi account and pan number. I paid, after that she is not responding to my calls.

Very serious matter has arrived that someone is posting a add on olx of a car which does not belongs to him and making people fraud by saying that the car is in another state since he has been transfered. from their . he is taking advance money saying that the money is taken as the booking amount and after that he is making his contact unavailable the serious matter is that he is using original papers of cars owner of car. i have confirmed from the owner about his car he told that he has already sold his car 3 months back in bokaro.

Sir Some one put an add in OLX about one plus 6 and said Iam from Indian army that’s why i believed in them total 24200 had lost sir plz I can provide all details sir plzzzz respond sir there numbers are [protected] and [protected] and [protected] sir im providing all documents I feel about the word Indian army if you have guts react on this and show the power of Indian army

It was iphone 6s from manjeet singh.
He tells me to paytm 4000 firstly for deal for courier.

I want to tell all the people reading this that this fraud in the name of the indian army officer shrikant is happened to me today[protected]. Thus guy makes you believe that he is an army officer and he want to sell his mobile phone with any reason and he will try to give you that deal which is very convincing and at that time he will ask you for some kind of advance payment. He will also send you some photos of the phone and bill also the imei number in the bill and the phone will also be same and when you will verify you will get the positive response and you will start trusting him and he will start making us fool then he will say that i have placed the order it will reach you in an hour or 2 then he will say that the courier boy is there near your location and you have to make the whole payment then he will deliver your item to you and then i made the whole payment and he said that sir you make the late payment now you have to give some kind of late fees and then they will refund you all the amount and if you will not then your money will be blocked you will not get your payment back then he will ask for more and more money and then he will ask for sometime to get the delivery and then he will just went off and he take all the payment from you and you will not even get the phone.
Guys i have wrote this so that you read this and you just save your money front these kind of fraud.
If any one gets this kind of messages please inform police as soon as possible.

He kept on charging money from us and kept on activating pack on others id's, he did some kind of crap and kept on fooling us, we have each kind of proofs regarding this, sir please we would be like to contact either your customer service or please contact us back at [protected], please see to it, your employees are looting peoples hard earned money

Hi recently, i buyed iphone 7 from olx, but when receivedto surprise, it is android phone with iphone structure. Infact the mobile is not working for which i paid 11500. When i spoke to them they say it will be exchanged but the phone rings and never they are answer. The seller name is manoj : [protected]. Olx please block these kind of stuff and protect the normal people. First i got message from named: sonia: [protected] and then she took order for cash on delivery. Friends pls be careful.

Iv recently uploaded a add for selling my apple ipad pro 10.5inches and apple pencil worth rs 90000/- there was a guy named andy on olx he agreed to the deal and also contacted me on whats app and promised to pay as soon as the parcel is available for tracking. I did the same but he did not transfer any funds! Olx shoulf take action against such fraud ppl as they are spoiling the platform and keeping ppl scared and away from olx. I would request for his ip address so that i can rasie complaint against him with the cyber cell and local crime branch. So plz help with his ip address. He is also selling a iphone 8 plus which i guess is fraudulently taken from some buyer. Kindly provide me the ip address and his phone number that is verified at earliest. And if olx cannot help its customers i guess should stop using this platform and raise an issue against this on social platform to make ppl safe of such frauds and if olx is not supporting then against such platforms as well.

On 24 Nov 2018, contacted olx user on [protected] for purchase of Red mi Note 5, asked me to pay courier charges 560 INR on [protected], i paid . After 3 hours received a call from [protected] to pay 2150 INR which i refused to pay.
On whats app seller shared all proofs related to Indian Army candidate, very shameful that fraud sellers are using profile of our national pride / security .

A big fraud is going on OLX by such type of sellers needs some corrective actions from the respective marketing & security service providers. All proofs are attached here for ready reference for necessary further actions from concern authorities.

My name is Sandipan Dhar and i'm from Kolkata. Recently i got ping from olx user on my whatsapp telling like he is interested in buying my Guitar. He told his mane is Richard Jones and he is contacting from america after seeing my post on olx. As he was was okay with the price we fixed the deal for rs. 28, 000/- but he ask me to send this to his son who is living in delhi because he is gifting this Guitar to his son. He ask my account details to make a payment so i shared my account number and ifsc code so he maid the payment using jp morgan chase bank which is the 4th largest bank in us. He make the payment to my account and i got email from chase bank regarding this payment but i did not received but later he ask to send the phone stating that once the bank will able to track the dtdc courier then they will process our money so i checked on google regarding this and came to know that this bank is very secure king of payment for buyer and sellers so i did courier on 23/11/2018 to his son's address in delhi . Once i got the tracking status i asked Richards to update his bank regarding this so he told that revert the email with screenshot of the tracker they will process the money i sent the screenshot but still did not get my money so i asked him to inquire about this so he went to bank and told us that bank told that they tried making payment but the money get bounce back because the minimum wire money transfer is rs. 50, 000/- so he ask me that he will transfer 18000/- extra and want us to transfer that extra amount to his son's account who is living in delhi so i agreed and i told that send 50, 000/- i'll transfer rest of the amount then he made payment of 50, 000/- to my account and sent the screenshot of the receipt and again i got the mail from chase bank stating that they deducted money form Richard's account and requested to send 18, 000 to his son's account first they only they will release the money. Then i got angry on that guy because there is no such policy for bank so i thought of stopping the dtdc courier but it is already been delivered. On the same day in evening i told that guy to share his id proof or his son'd id proof but he didn't so ask him to return the guitar back as we cannot pay 18000/- he did not informed us before doing this now he was pressuring us to follow as bank says to get the money then we ask his son's account number and he shared Name-Vungzawlching nghaihte A/C No.-[protected], IFSC Code-idbi000m089, Branch-delhi(Indian Bank). There is no such policy for minimum international payment for 50k. Got an email from bank in which they mentioned account number in which Richard was requesting to send 18k then we refuse to give money as he is not sharing any of his details and he confirmed that his son received the parcel as well so we keep telling to return but he denied so we said that will not pay money anymore but now the situation is he is telling to do it or leave it. I tried tracking that delivery address its reflecting in Dariya Ganj in delhi i also tried tracking his number that is showing from up, the address he gave is not his son neither the account number he gave is of his son there are 2-3 people involve in this fraud or may more so please investigate help in getting my Guitar or else my money. I am a new buyer to olx n i see an advertisement in olx of iphone8 in rs.13500 so i chat with the seller n discuss the details so he take money in advance first he demand only for rs1000 i gave him the money by paytm then he again demand for rs.1000 i again gave him the money and then he said he need some more money to deliver my order and he demands for rs.2000 from paytm i gave him this too then he demands for rs2000 more but at that time i don't have so i gave him rs.500 but at this point of time i neighther receive my order nor receive my money back n he gives me very very very bad type of abuses

There is a fraud that is in trending on olx.
I am a victim of this fraud so i am writing this to aware you guys.
If you have posted an add to sell your car on olx, there is a chance that a fraud name “vishal pandey” aka ”tarakeshwar gorakhnath pandey” might contact you, he might show interest to buy your car asap.
He might say that he is manager in icici bank nalasopara west branch.
He might come to inspect your car and will finalize it in 10 mins without doing much bargain.
He will say that he will pay you via demand draft. As he is working in bank they are allowed to pay via dd or bankers cheque. He will ask for your account details to prepare a dd / bankers cheque.
If you have a loan on your car he will say he will visit the branch and pay off the loan and rest he will pay in the form of demand draft.
If you do not have loan on your car he might pay you certain token amount via neft and rest he will pay you via demand draft or bankers cheque.
Later he will insist you to give an instant car delivery and ask you for original document along with transfer form and insurance copy.
If you agree with him that thinking you had given you a demand draft (In my case i agreed)& complete the formalities. His associates will record the entire process of signing the transfer paper and handing over the car & keep that as evidence for future. They will take delivery, signing the delivery note and would whats app you addhar card & pan card & take yours.
Now when you visit your bank next day to deposit dd, your bank might inform you that, this is not a dd instead it is a normal cheque of a saving account. When you call him and enquire about the same he will say the cheque belong to his maternal uncle, and it will clear do not worry you can deposit the cheque. When you deposit the cheque it will get returned stating signature mismatch or funds insufficient.
When you approach tarakeshwar pandey, he will give you another cheque which will get dishonored stating that’s funds insufficient. & later he might give you few more cheques which will get dishonored in the same way. None of his cheque gets cleared. (If you see his bank statement you will notice cheque in series are getting dishonored, there are no funds in his account still he is issuing cheques)
He might also send you some fake screenshot of neft. These are queued transaction (Standing instructions) which never get credited to your account.
He might also share screenshot of yes bank to prove he has balance in lacs. (He would deposit cheque for eg: 500 000/- from his federal bank which might have balance of 100/- to his yes bank when the cheque comes for clearing at yes bank it will display ledger balance of 500000/- in his yes bank account. He will take screenshot of it and will share that with every one stating he has balance in his account and will give fake promises.)
All the cheques used for these transactions are from federal bank malad west & thane manpada branch & yes bank.
He will keep answering all your call and will make fake promises.
He use all this tricks just to consume time, and meanwhile his associate car dealer would sell that car to any third party. (If your car gets transferred you cannot get your car back)
And when you approach the legal system they might tell you this is 138 case of cheque bounce and you need to do it via civil court. When you approach civil court you have to pay case fees as well hire advocate and it generally takes around 3 - 6 years for the 138 case to get resolved.
You might not be able to file an fir or take any legal action. Hence you need to rely on fake promises.
Till the time you rely on fake promises. Your car is sold to a third party usually outside states, so it’s very difficult to trace the car.
He does not have a fix address where he can be traced.
The modus operandi of this crime is to give fake cheques and sell the car outside maharashtra mainly in up.

If you have been victim of this type of fraud please contact local authority as soon as possible.
This is a big racket and needs to be exposed.
Many people from vasai, nalasopara, mulund, thane, andheri are victim of this fraud.

Very disappointed with olx just got schemed from a fraud user on ur olx i loss my 5000 rs bt no one helps me really i do have all the evidence which shows he is a fraud and using a fake identity of so called vikram waghmare and stating himself as a jat regiment indain army officer its a shame that a fraudster is using an indain army person identity and u guys the ugly olx is just in a rush to raise their revenue and nothing else i want to my money bavk to my account & i dnt want any ither to be scammed ur responsible "olx" for this situatuion a person name vikram is posting frequient ads on olx with same pics and discription and the mediuim used was olx i have attached few ads there are many more ads similar circulaitng on olx kindly stop this malpractice and take strict action as soon as possible if possible provide me raw data i have attached below some ad ids and name and the amount which i transferd to his account is given below plz help others so to prevent this fraud in future.
