About my sad experience in OLX. Beware Attention. I need to buy a laptop on OLX. I saw the ad for laptop sale. After paid the amount he not all picking the phone. and not responding. Is there anyone to find that person And This type of internet fraud should be punished. This is to report the very unpleasant dealings I have had with apparent con-men who call themselves 'MusicTech' and claim to be selling guitars and drum kits online through OLX. DO NOT TRUST them! OLX site: http://www.olx.in/userlistings/Music-Tech They claim to be MusicTech store in Kohima and they post classic guitars and drums for sale, yet each post is from a different part of India. When you enquire about that, they say the goods are with them. I should have been more cautious. The emails from them are almost always sent in the middle of the night (suggesting they are actually in a different time zone) and they almost never answer the phone (and then only when they are expecting to be able to make a demand for money). They didn't sign their email with a name until I insisted on it, and then I am not sure the names are genuine. I responded to an ad for a vintage 'Rogers' Drumset advertised at 56, 000 INR. I was also interested in a 'Tama' kit they'd advertised, and so after some emails to establish contact and ask some questions about their kits I sent them an email ordering one of the kits (the 'Rogers') and agreeing with them to terms of half payment in advance, half on delivery. After two days I received an email marked "URGENT URGENT !! Mispackage notice" . There was a long email explaining that one of the company's employees had mistakenly sent three drumkits in one shipment instead of just the one I'd ordered. The company was panicking because the shipment they'd sent was worth 2.5 Lakhs and so they requested me to pay the balance on my set as a guarantee for them that I would not make off with the drums once they arrived. I refused, saying that these were not our terms and that it was not my responsibility to cover their mistake. However they returned with yet another long, and this time extremely aggressive, email stating that they could not recall their shipment and that they needed to demand this payment and that I would certainly get the shipment the next day. Foolishly, I was pushed into agreeing to pay the balance on the kit and so sent another 25, 200 to the account details they'd given me. The drums didn't show up. Again my phone calls were not answered, nor my emails until this morning I received an email (again marked URGENT URGENT) telling me that they could not let the delivery come to me without a further assurance of Rs 28, 300. They were worried about some shipments of theirs in the past which had gone missing. They have my full payment for one drum kit, yet they are not prepared to deliver it and all their communication is to manipulate more money out of me rather than to engage in any kind of honest attempt to sort the problem out. I can only conclude that their business is not honest or legal. They are organised, yet dangerous. The courier company they use is called 'Nationwide Couriers and is based in the UK. It is impossible to contact the couriers by phone and the one email I had from them was uninformative. The courier helpline doesn't work. Their tracking site was not updated after 30th September. If they were legitimate traders, there would be nothing to stop them recalling their consignment and sorting out their problem at their end. At this point it is difficult to believe the drums even exist and their mode of doing business is so extremely manipulative, aggressive and unpleasant that I can no longer proceed with any sort of business with them. Therefore I am posting this as a warning to others and to discredit their bad business, and also, if possible, to get my money back! Please BE WARNED, and please help me get my refund. There was a mistake, it's true, but I think you have been extreme in your reaction to sack your employee forthwith. I am very sorry to be the occasion of someone losing their job, and your behaviour does not predispose me well to reassuring you in any way, let alone paying out a huge sum just to make you feel safer. No, sorry I will not be paying you lakhs of rupees for drums that I am not going to keep. However, you can be sure that I will not cause you any worry about this. I will not take anything that I have not paid for, and I am quite happy to store the packages until you find a way to get them returned to yourselves or sent on to whomever. I have a suggestion. I must admit that I am glad to see these drums because it allows me to take some thought as to whether I would want to buy these or other drums like them, so, if it's ok with you, I will look inside the packages and inspect the drums while they are with me. They will be safe, they will remain in the house and they will not be damaged or marked in any way. If I decide I really want to buy them, after all, I will make you an offer. I think it would be fair for you to ask me to pay some kind of deposit on the understanding that I am checking out the drums as a possible purchase - of course, if the drums are already sold to someone, then that is another matter, and I will make sure the packages remain sealed and will not pay a deposit. If you can assure me that the drums are not already sold, and that I can check them out, you are welcome to suggest a deposit amount, on the understanding that this will be returned to me if I choose not to buy the drums. I am a user of OLX Pakistan, have been posting in Computer Hardware Section for selling and buying Rams, HDDs, Power Supplies and Graphic Cards etc. The website is apparently being managed from India. It takes lot of time to prepare a quality ad with original pictures of the object. I had posted some ads after wasting lot of time and resources. Today, just with a single click, OLX team removed my all ads without showing any reason thereof. They even blocked / banned my OLX account. This sort of attitude of OLX moderators is highly objectionable and totally uncalled for. I request to take immediate remedial steps and get restored my OLX account and the ads which I have had posted using my precious time.

On 23-SEP-14 i seen the add in OLX, stating that offering iPhone 5s for 26, 000. I called that guy Solomon ([protected]) and enquired. He said i have to pay 6, 000 shipping charges and the product will deliver withing 24 hrs and they had EMI and COD. First I opted for EMI and he aslo commited for that. I paid Rs 6, 000 through bank deposit (deposit slip attached) and they given the invoice copy (attached) On the next day, the delivery boy named Daniel ([protected]) called me and said there is no EMI option and i have to pay the amount in full while delivery. After speaking with solomon i accepted for that also. They said product will be delivered the next day (25-SEP-14). But yesterday they called and said i have to pay the remaining amount in their bank account, after that only they will come and deliver. At that time only i realized that i am cheated. Again i called to Solomon and enquired. He also said the same. So i cancelled my order and they said they will return my deposit. hi - I am writing this with utmost frustration and terrible experience from one of OLX seller. After little bit of search I understand, I am also one of the victim of getting cheated with 15000 rs. Person "Abdul Malik Rahman" as he quoted his name in OLX advertisement, has offered me 15K for Samsung note3 + Gear when I inquired about his Ad. He mandated me to make 7500 at front and rest to be paid on delivery date. I did that from my hdfc account. NEFT : N[protected], 7500 paid. I asked him to ship the product, however he quoted that I have to pay the rest to ship my product. I have done this from ICICI to his new account "ICICI" this time from SBI earlier. Having done the full payment of deal, I request Abdul to ship the product, but the response I got him was shocking that I have to pay 15000 more for additional delivery of 2 more units. I disagreed politely and requested for refund. He enforced me to pay 15000 as a transfer to his account. Now I realized that am getting fooled and cheated from OLX seller. On 11/09/2014 my laptop was stolen from my home. Laptop is compaq 620 black color, and after on 20 sept someone post an add of my laptop in olx but after sometime..he removes that add, , , , so please help me out to find out that person or his contact number

Many Sellers are brokers and dealers they are changing the parts and selling from OLX many frad brokers only found. I brought AC and CAr both from this sight I lost money around 2 lacks. Now what is in mind this OLX. your sight going for frad and scrap selling like seriously . they are simplly changing numbers after selling . Please do not encourage kind of things.
