Fraud qrcode lost huge amount

I faced fraud/ scam using qr code on olx platform. The numbers are being shared to third party unauthorized users to call directly and scam sellers. I have been victim of 30000.00/-

I had posted ad to sell my furniture. There were few buyers interested and and few had requested my CONTACT number to discuss. However i got a call from unknown number immediately after posting the ad and offered to buy. Their were actually ready...

Dear Olx Team,

I have sold my vehicle to OLX auto on 8-Jan-22, my vehicle number is MH14 EU 0674.

As per your promise I should get the pending amount of Rs. 5000 in 3-4 days after vehicle sale. As of today I didn’t got it, i am continuously in touch with your sales or marketing representative but no assurance yet.

This is very abnormal that even after 60 days of vehicle sale, I didn’t got the remaining amount, kindly do the needful as soon as possible so the pending amount credit to my account.

This is very humiliating and frustrating.

    Hi Team,

    I have added a furniture add today costing Rs 1200/- and asked to contact me after 6 PM as I was busy with my office work. But suddenly a person named Rahul Agarwal started calling me again and again after making a deal on OLX. I called him back and discuss about deal, I told him to visit and check then pay but he wanted to close the deal by updating the status of product as sold. Then he did a small transaction of Rs 2 and it was -2, +2&+2 means Rs 2 credited to my account and till I think about it, further he made me to scan QR code and did transaction of Rs 1200/- which was only debit and then it clicked me that I have been cheated. I asked many times to return and he wanted me to scan more but I did not do. He abused and disconnected.

    I have recordings, screenshots and everything. This type of person must be caught and given strict penalty and should be behind the bar. I don't know how many others are cheated this way. Please take immediate action as soon as possible.

    Paytm QR Code scanned name: Santanu Mishra.

    I talked to OLX team, they said this happens and they will try to defend such things from next time.. Who is responsible for this ? They don't do kyc o[censored]sers. They only take location of seller and not buyer which is a flaw in their system. Because of this one can not trace such fraud.

    Where should I go ? Where should I do complaint ? One must take action and prevent others..

      Hi my name is Shahabas and I get call frm olx executives continuesly regarding posting add for particular amount and I got a package recently, but after posting add the problem is that I can’t open any chat or selling chat,
      Unfortunately I paid some amount for the package and then no body giving me any response from olx, now I got disappointed with olx in this case
      Even still there is my two featured add is pending, but iam worried that how cud I use those add without any chatting option

          Deleted the information and account from there site/app still getting multiple spam calls and msg. I will take legal action if this not stop and suggest other not to use there platform for anything as they will start spamming. Olx must give dnd option

            Hello. I am adi an olx user .yesterday
            I posted an ad for selling some items
            I got a message from an olx user
            He said he is an army official and his name is Anil Kumar.
            I gave him my number and he gave me his
            He said his driver will come at 6 in the evening to pick up the items
            I messaged him the amount and he asked if I use paytm or google so that he can pay me the required amount..somehow he tricked me
            Paying the amount by using lic credit card
            He first sent me 20 rupees to ascertain that there is no foul play in transaction then
            He robbed me of my hard earned 98000 rupees
            I have all the call recordings also
            He sent me his Id card also of anil kumar
            The account was by the name of Dilip rajaram of federal bank

            The only thing I can say is ...with these repeated complains I am still not getting any justice by olx company or the police . Wat is the use of cyber crime in india i[censored] can't pick up calls or answer emails. These people can easily be traced as they are still using the same mobile number. But this will only happen when u get over your apologies and start working on something

                  Someone else has used my number in an olx advertisement. I did not put any advertisement in olx but i am receiving a lot of calling regarding the advertisement.                       Dear Team,

                      First of all I am totally disappointed and skeptical about how far the application is safe.
                      I have turned on my safety modes in the application and have added 5 ads to sell my textbooks.
                      The safety detection mechanism in your application totally failed in assessing how genuine the buyer who is reaching out to me .!!
                      Why hasn’t you app warned me prior to interacting with a buyer on the degree of the intention of him.
                      Due to the flaw in your system I had to loose Rs.350/- today.
                      It might be a small amount to the person reading my mail be but to a certain section of your customers ( cheated by your app) I cannot even imagine the loss they are undergoing.
                      I need an immediate compensation for my loss.

                        Olx people are so unprofessional they have banned my account for no reason . I have send multiple mails to olx team but they did nothing. why they advertise so heavily if they do not want people to sell on their site. i just posted some items to sell.                                   I have posted furniture, I got call from [protected], he said I'm interested to buy your furniture what is final price, I said abc price he said okay the n he shared paytm qr code, phone pay qr code pls scan this code you will get money, and asked me to share your location. I have shared finally again he is forcing me scan the qr code. I have a doubt on this guy, so i said I'm not interested to receive money this way. First of all he did not checked my product buy he is ready to pay the money how can trust him. Insaid not interested, immediately he said I already paid, I will give police complaint, ok go ahead I said. This type people spoiling your olx name. Please take a action

                                    Deal for my scrapped car was made with your Retail Associate Deepak at your Paschim Vihar New Delhi outlet.

                                      Dont know why olx banned my account please unban my account [protected] and give me one more chance now i know about olx's terms and conditions. I mistakely gave my phone no in description i promise it will never happen again and yeah i deal with a customer he taught me he was an army officer and he ask for my mobile no and i gave my no but i dont share my otp just bcz that time i come to realize that it must be an fake olx user but the day after that day when i tried to open my olx account then olx shows me that your account was banned i dont know what he did with my account. Its a request to olx please unban my account i never ever provide my mobile no anyone again.. Thank you
