As all knows that OLX is platform where two people can deal without agent and save his comission..but now a days it is frequently seen that many guys using this platform for hiring / sharing prostitution...they r offering part time job or spa jobs and when they get any girl/ female contact no.they force them to involve in prostitution business for high money amount..As OLX can block these type s of add but No one is noticing this..and only...

My OLX account has been suspended without any reason, I was missing posting ad regarding selling my old laptop.

Another account was then suspended when I tried to sell my laptop again.

No relevant explanation is being provided by OLX.

This incident is of 06/06/2021. Someone posted an ad on Olx to sell second hand cycle for ₹5400/-. When i left a message to send me more pics of cycle, that fraudster whatsapp me 4-5 pics and video clip of cycle. He posed himself as Indian Army personal. He told that he is posted in Verna near Airport.
He told that he had purchased this cycle for ₹16000/- and is just three months old. Since, he is transferred to another city, he wants to sell it immediately and at such low price. He even sent me copy of fabricated Canteen Card in the name of Anand Kumar Singh issued by भारतीय थलसेना.
He asked me remit atleast ₹2500/- so that he would courier cycle through Indian Army Parcel Car and Bike Transport Service. He sent me bank detail of a person named Rajeev Nayek a/c No.[protected] IFSC: PYTM0123456. He told that this account number belongs to courier service person. I don't know why i didn't notice such stupid thing that any Govt Dept can not have bank account with Paytm.
It was quite stupidity of me. Without thinking twice, i remitted ₹2500/-. After some time, that fraud guy sent me fabricated challan copy. After seeing this immediately I understood that my money has gone. Even then that fraudster told me to pay another ₹1499/- saying that without remitting this amount, courier will not happen. Then i said no and asked him to pay my money back. Then that person said that you are not having faith on Army personal. I told him that you are fraud and i know it. Then he told that since you called me a fraud, then end this talk. He refused to give me any amount.
Entire episode lasted around 3 hours. I got a message from Olx after 3 hours that please dont contact the seller or remit any amount as he is a suspicious person. I ask Olx that why did you send me message after such delay. Why there is no mechanism to ascertain that only certified seller is selling on your platform. Why your system is so weak that so many people have been duped and looted. It is a loot. And i blame entirely olx for all these fraud instances.

Although I’ve purchased a ton of goods through the platform, it’s a shame to have my account banned for no reason. Kindly help me understand the reason for banning the account and also walk me through with the procedures and norms to have the account activated. I tried messaging to buy a second hand camera but got suspended for no reason. Then later after few months i tried again from my friend number, his accound also got suspended within 10minutes.. i didnt even texted anyone on olx or posted any ad. D

I want to buy a DSLR camera from OLX and approached a person who sold the camera at a decent price. I contacted them through OLX chat and got the phone number and talked to them. Initially, I sent Rs. 10, 000 for getting camera parcel and remaining will be sent after got the product. Later I google-searched reg this fraudulent and aware that he is a fraud doing this.

I have fallen into trap of people who pretend to be Indian Army and showing themselves to Indian army posted in Imphal Airport and showing fake employees id and pan card and adhaar card and they are selling a car ( Swift MNO6LB0979) at price tag of 1.6 lakh rupees in OLX. After contacting them, they insisted us to pay 7150 rupees as an advanced for Indian Army Parcel car and bike transport for delivery from Imphal Airport to my place, Porompat, Imphal- East which is like 20 kms away from my home . This happened on 9 th of March'21 and having convinced us to pay another 21999 rupees as it was showned in the reciept which was to sent to us ( in the receipt the deal show of 1.4 lakh), for activation of GSP of the truck for the driver to start following the navigation to our home. After the money is paid for 1.4 lakh rupees and extra transportation charges ( 7150 + 21999 rupees) which they said to refund once the car is delivered and another charges of 15, 000 rupees for clearing the document becoz they said their Major Sir in Airport block it for delivery and they said that they refunded the once the car delivered to our home in cash.
After all theses money paid, they said it is late now becoz it is almost 7:00pm we have duty and they said to send the car on the next day.
The next day, they started again started asking for money fot the activation of GPS of the truck and now we are very lately realised that we scammed and we went to the Imphal Airport to verify their id and no body is available by such name in the Imphal Airport said by the Imphal Airport Security personal on that day.
So we call the scammers and let them talked with the Imphal Airport Security personal and they got angry and they said you will not get your car or money.
The scammers said if you want to get your money after 6 months and come to Punjab high court.
After all theses conversation, they called me and said we will help you to get your money if you can post this car alto K10 (AS25BC8745) at 1.4 lakh rupees online in OLX via whatsapp and put the location in Mizoram as soon as possible. I asked them why are you asking me to do this then they replied i don't have internet connection here and then I asked which phone you are using and the scammer said OPPO F7 and then hung up.
Please help me and if you need more proofs I have call recordings.

For no reason olx blocked my account, why they don't allow users to use them ?

We have been trying to sell a bed for some time. Every time we post the ad OLX either suspends the account or suspends the Buyer's account who was trying to buy it.

Tried reaching out to their customer care, no response. Sent a mail, the email ID is incorrect.

I am not sure what needs to be done now.
My parents and myself are irritated at this point.

Yesterday, I saw an add of oppo F 17 pro which was priced at 8000. I talked to him, his name was BABLOO KUMAR and he said that he is in CISF, his phone number is [protected]. He agreed on 6000 after bargaining. He asked for an advance of 500 for booking of the phone. So I made a transaction of 500. Then he said that the mobile will reach me next morning and I have to pay the rest of money in cash to the BABLOO.
Next morning I got a call from another person he said that he is the courier person. That courier person said that I have to pay the rest amount first then that person will give me the phone. Then I talked to BABLOO, he said that I have to pay the rest amount first then the phone will be out for delivery.
Then I said to BABLOO that I can't pay without seeing the phone. Then he started requesting to pay the amount quickly, but I denied and I told him to return my 500. Then he started to use abusive words and tried to scare me by complaining a FIR. Then he disconnected the call.

This just not acceptable i was trying to sell my games with all legal protocols and the next thing i get is that my account is banned.kindly unban it asap

Olx suspend my account for no reason and all the account that I activate in my mobile with my other number.i posted my mobile ad there now I am unable to rech my account so how can I sell my product.
Why it is giving ads on tv to sell faster there is very troubling in selling iteams

He tell me he is from army from Howrah camp. then he ask me for some money to dispatch scooety by indian army transfer facility. So I will give him 1500rs. then he send me receipt of dispatch. At 11:00Am morning I am getting call of post man and he ask to complete payment for that scooety. I will vai phonepee. After that he is asking for deposit money.

My account is showing banned since yesterday. I am totally surprised as without any reason what happened suddenly. I am an authorized buyer as well as seller and sold many products using paid advertising.

Very unfortunate olx. Please activate my account asap.

My account has been banned without providing any reason, when I called these people don’t know the reason and giving me lame excuses, no senior to provide relevant information. They don’t know about their policies for which the account is banned ... dumb people... help me get my account back
