[Resolved] OneAssist Consumer Solutions — Claim for my phone | |||||
I purchased oneassist insurance complaint for my iphone7. At the time when i purchased insurance policy i was informed that the service will cover all sorts of damage even liquid damage or screen damage . Recently my phone by mistake fell into the water bucket and got damaged. When i approached the company i was informed that the phone was mishandled and hence they cannot process my claim. Note: insurance policies are always taken to safeguard our products in case they get damaged accidentally. They whole purpose of taking the insurance gets defeated if the company says that the product was mishandled and hence, they cannot process the claim. A number of times i raised my request to the company but all went in vain. There was not a single response from their end. On apr 9, 2017 - the company returned my phone. When i assessed the phone i realized that they had not processed my claim request but had further damaged my phone. At the time when i submitted the phone to them - its ringer and home screen button was in working condition, but when they returned the phone these 2 things were damaged from their end. I truly feel that they might have taken out the parts from my device and replaced them with the non-working one's. I feel this is an act of sheer fraud and negligence by the company. They are not only fooling the people but also cheating them once they place a request for repair. Therefore, i request the insurance company to process my claim and provide me a a new handset in response to the same.
