OneAssist Consumer Solutions — Subscription renewed without my permission | |||||
I received a post from one assist asking me to renew my plan. I was not sure about renewing for another year so i did not respond. I had submitted a new email id 6 months ago - one assist failed to register it and now claim that they have been writing to me there. My credit card was illegally charged for a yearly subscription by one assist without any warning. I called one assist 4 days ago to protest and ask that this be cancelled. I was assured of a return call within 24 hours. No call received. This morning i called one assist and spoke to a lady called shahida. She took my complaint and said that i would receive a call from the cancellation team today or latest in 48 hours. She refused to let me talk to a supervisor Question - one assist claims to protect the customer from fraudulent use of our credit cards & a quick response. Wrong on both counts! Do i need to contact the police, consumer protection agency, open a discussion on social media to protect me from one assist? It is reprehensible that one assist takes people's details of cards and ids and then misuse them this way and do not respond in any way. How do i know they will not misuse my data since there is already such a bad precedent set? I would like to have an assurance that they will not misuse this data.
