OneAssist Consumer Solutions — Theft Claim | |||||
My Phone got stolen (Theft) and i did all the procedures as directed by the customer service from OneAssist . Theft occurred in the area of Indiranagar on 9th October 2015 at around 5:15pm. Place of Incident is 12th main Signal heading towards 13th main my Aunts house at Indiranagar Bangalore. This incident happened at Indiranagar, Nearby to Sony signal road heading towards Sony signal (land mark) while going in my car (Omni) driven by Athish (own cousin) and I was sitting next to him and he is a true witness. While going towards the signal the car had to stop at a point. At that time a random fellow came forward make a weird noise which freaked me out for a second and at that gap he took the phone which was in my shirt pocket and ran, I immediately got down from the car went chasing him, he was much faster than me and jumped upon a bike where there was another guy sitting. I noticed that the bike was kept started already and once that guy jumped on the bike and they moved very fast. Immediately I called the number which I had on the iPhone ([protected]) from my other alternative number ([protected]). It was ringing once fully but the second time I called it rang and the call got cut, Third time when I called the number said switched off. After that me and my brother went searching for any sign of those 2 guys around but unfortunately we couldn’t find them. We also went home Logged into the iCloud to check for the location, lock, and block the phone and it showed Offline. Later at around 6:30 I called up OneAssist (Insurance Company) and informed them first regarding this incident and they agreed for the claim of theft insurance and asked to do the necessary procedures. In between I had got calls from the Insurance Company with the confirmation of the details I had provided. Later I had gone to the Indiranagar police station at around 7:30/7:45 on 9th October 2015 itself and tried logging an FIR complaint. they did not take the FIR but took the IMEI number and the Phone details and requested to come the next day on 10th October 2015 to file a complaint to take the necessary actions, at around 8:30pm I guess I got a call from OneAssist blocking the number([protected]). Next day, Due to the mismatch of time on 10th October 2015 between me and the inspector, I could not give FIR and take an acknowledgement and next day 11th October 2015 at 10am I visited the Indiranagar Police station and they asked me all the details regarding the place and time of incident and suggested me to file a complaint in Jeevan Beema Nagar police station, since the place of theft does not belong to their circle, soon after I went to the suggested police station filed a complaint with request of Insurance claiming for the theft of my iPhone 6. They listened to the whole incident like explained in the above and came with me to see the place of theft occurrence to confirm themselves if my complaint was genuine or not, After confirming, Then later they took the complaint of mine on and with date 11th October 2015 and gave me an acknowledgement copy of the complaint with seal and signature of the Officer in-charge. After this i got a reply from OneAssist insurance deck to send a copy of all the documents via mail and once the mail was sent they replied me that the documents are in order and the send all the original documents through courier . After sending the courier on 15th October and i also got a confirmation from the courier agent that the courier was delivered .till date there was no reply from their side and it has already been 7days after the courier was sent. till now there is no proper communication from their side to me and i feel they are trying to cheat me. please accept my complaint and do the needful.
