Oriental Insurance Company — No response to long awaiting mediclaim | |||
Respected Sir, This is to inform you that I, Barun Kumar Pal, am a mediclaim policyholder of Oriental Insurance Company. My policy details are mentioned below. This email is regarding an issue, which I seem to have no solution for and am bound to reach you with hope. My wife, Mrs. Lipika Pal, who is also mentioned on my Mediclaim policy, was admitted to the hospital unexpectedly due to bad health conditions. Being a senior citizen, I was advised to claim the hospitalization bill for a better helping hand in such delicate situations. With god’s grace and the love and support of my family, my wife has been discharged and is recovering well and fast. Since, my choice for taking a policy from Oriental Insurance company was because of the high quality reputation that everyone was talking about and quick service responses, which were a part of brief given to me before going ahead and taking up the policy. However, this moment seems to look otherwise. To claim the bills I had settled personally to the hospital, I went through the rigorous procedure of collecting all the documents, including those from the TPA desk of the hospital, Doctor’s Signature and details, Discharge Summary, Bills, Detailed Bill, Final Bill etc. (All Original Documents) which the company requires to help me claim the insurance, and submitting it through courier to the Registered Address Mentioned (Same as the one written under your name at the top of this email) (Oriental House, A-25/27, Asaf Ali Road, New Delhi 110002) as mentioned in the form. My package had almost 40 sheets of supporting documents, with the claim form attached with my policy and all the other required details, all original documents. There seems to be a major point of concern when I do not receive any kind of acknowledgement for the documents sent to the company at the right time within the time frame mentioned. I stress at this point that all the documents sent were original for which I have all the duplicates with me as I had kept a copy of the same with myself in case of such incidents. I personally tried getting in touch with the company several times, but I was redirected from one person to another constantly. At my age and this time in life, it is getting very difficult to manage such amount of running around for a claim, where as I was told that I would be as easy as slicing a butter, before taking up the policy. I request you to take a look in to this matter with some amount of concern as it has become highly impossible for me to trace my package with all the documents which I will not be able to gather together again as originals for the claim. Having done everything that was required off of me, I feel that someone should at least acknowledge the fact that my package has arrived or we have started the process, we are reviewing it etc. Anything! As the incharge of this well reputed firm, I am sure you will be the only one to help me with this situation and bring some peace in my life with regards to this claim. I would request you to take a look into this matter and help me resolve this as soon as possible as my energy level and belief in this is draining day by day.
