I bought two pants from Pantaloon Kolkata (kankurgachi) on 19/06/2018. I mentioned them that I need a 34 waist size pant. They gave me a pant on which 34 waist-size is written. The sales-boy confirmed me several times that I can exchange the pant from any Pantaloon branch. On returning home, I find, the pant was not fitting and it was written size 81 cm in the inner part of the pant. Today(7/08/18), I went to Pantaloon Midnapore branch to exchange the product. They didn’t agree to change the product. The excuse is that the brand is not available in their branch and I have to go Kolkata for exchange. My question is that----
1. Why they told me “You can exchange from any pantaloon branch”?
2. How customer can know “Which brand is available in which pantaloon branch”?
3. The distance between Midnapore and my home is 85 km. I have to cover another 100km to go Kolkata for a single exchange. How one can tolerate such harassment for exchange. I told them “You can give me any other brand”.
4. If they are interlinked then why the exchange was not possible?
I called customer care and he expressed deep sorrow. He informed me “It is impossible to know which brand is available in which pantaloon branch”. So, I have to visit Kolkata for exchange. What should I do now?
