Pantaloons Fashion & Retail — mis selling additional products and misleading to customers with incorrect information

I bought three apparels o[censored]cb branch on 20th nov' 2019 from pantaloons store located at phoenix market city mall in pune (Maharashtra). On 21st nov'2019, went back to same brand outlet to return one of the item and as i had explore same brand apparels a day before so was sure will not have much to see and get it exchanged. Hence, asked ucb brand staff that can i get credit note against one of the item or may be i can buy same price product of some other brand?

Brand staff said that i cannot return the item as it was bought under discounted price offer and said that i can get it exchanged against some other item and pushed me to buy two apparels to get current offer benefits. I went to return one of the item but had no option as said by brand staff so started exploring option to get it exchanged, after investing 1 hour i finally decided to buy two apparels to get ongoing offer benefits and went to billing counter to process it further.

Cashier asked me to pay balance amount for buying two apparels against exchange of one and i was about to pay him the balance value but as i was not interested to buy as my intend was to take credit note and buy later so with the same intend i asked to cashier again that will it not be possible to return one of the item and get credit note?

Cashier replied that yes, you can return one of the item and get credit note to shop later within 30 days. Listening to this information, i asked him to wait for 5 minutes and not to generate bill for balance value of exchange. Till the time i think and provide my final decision, dispute started between cashier and brand staff for credit note vs. Exchange items.

To resolve their issue, manager came and said cannot issue credit note as per policy and then, a guy came claiming he is store manager (Whereas he was not) and said you cannot exchange one item and buy two against it as per policy.

I was like do hell with your internal communication gaps and returned back rest of the items bought day before and asked for refund. Now, items are with them at their store and i am still struggling to get my refund.

Received call from another guy clifford alvares, he also claimed on call that he is the store manager and said as per policy we can't initiate refund into bank account, can issue a credit note. He was also unable to understand that a customer who is highly frustrated with your staff behavior, why would he come back to buy anything form the same store.

Calling customer care is also of no use as they are just coordinators and have no decision making authority. Have never seen such a hopeless staff and management.
