Pantaloons — Sprint, pantaloons within warranty period, demanding 60% of purchase amount for a minor repair (Product : 11548 pl c1) | |||
I had purchased a Sunglasses ( 11548 PL C1) of Sprint on 18th April 2015 amounting approx 2500 INR from Pantaloons, Gariahat, Kolkata with 1 year of Warranty. I traveled to Spain and at the airport one of the temple of newly purchased Sunglasses was broken due to a mild touch of the curtain at the x-ray scanning chamber. Recently in February 2016 (within warranty Period), I requested Sprint executive at the pantaloons, Gariahat, Kolkata to repair it and I will pay the amount as the broken item is out of warranty T & C. Next day the executive from Pantaloons called me and informed, the model is obsolete and I have to pay 60% of the Product cost. I was really shocked, only to replace the temple I have to pay this huge amount. Why I will purchase such a costly item, if there is no customer service at all. I actually don't know the rules and regulation of any brand, my simple question to Sprint management, is it a feasible amount claimed to repair? As a customer, I will not bother, within 1 year, whether the model will be obsolete or not. You should provide better solution to the customer for their satisfaction. The Brand should be Sprint. So it should be assigned to Sprint.
