Panvel Municipal Corporation — lack of water and electricity

I live in sector 21, Kharghar.This Monday, the water suddenly stopped giving an excuse of one more pipe breakage, the third in the last few months.Wonder if the authorities have heard of preventive maintenance.
I live in an 18 year old building.Last year when the society got to know of old pipes likely to burst, they promptly replaced them all in time to prevent any disruption to our water supply.
Rumour has it that the periodic water shortage is due to pressure from the Tanker Mafia who reportedly pay a sum per tanker to the officers who arrange for the breakdown.

This morning and afternoon, the electricity has gone off for about an hour with no explanation.It is quite disturbing as the weather is still hot.

With the shortage of water and frequent power breakdowns, Navi Mumbai should no longer claim to be a smart city as we intend to point out to Delhi the plight of the citizens here.
