Dear Sir, I have applied passport on 23rd May 2014, police verification done on 16th June 2014 since then status is showing Police Report has been submitted by Commissioner Office, District Bangalore and action for passport printing is initiated, to be followed by lamination, signing, quality check and dispatch. It's not getting changed. Please print my passport and dispatch it as soon as possible. File Number : BN[protected]

Hi, for the last 2 weeks the status is "Police Report has been submitted by Commissioner Office, District Bangalore and action for passport printing is initiated, to be followed by lamination, signing, quality check and dispatch". I had applied on 16/07/2014, file number BN[protected] DOB 25/07/1987. I need to apply for visa urgently.

I have applied the passport on 10-Aug-2011 Since from that day passport Status is Showing Pending For Police Verification.I Contacted Several Times Local Police Station(Byataranpura) But of no use they told me that we have not received any such Application then I Visited the Commissioner of Police Passport They took xerox copy of Passport receipt(24-Oct-2011) and they told me to contact After two weeks Now (5-Nov-2011) Again i contacted local Police Station of Byataranpura Still they are Saying we have not received any such application


this really frustrates us,nearly 3 months over still not even police verification not yet done..Kindly Let me know to whom i need to contact or escalate this issue.

I Satish Sadanand Bhat vide file No. BN13Z[protected] Date of Birth : 11/07/1970 have applied for a passport to Passport Office Bangalore in February 2010. My police inquiry has been completed during last week of March 2010. But till now I have not received my passport nor any information on your website.

I am repeatedly have been checking the passport status on the website but the status is showing the same message "Passport application has been submitted along with applicable fees and supporting documents". I am not getting the exact status nor get my passport dispatched.

I have also complained regarding this issue by mail to the Passport Officer, Bangalore & also Feedback & Grievance, but went all in vain. Because of delay, in issuing passport I suffered a lot by losing good employment opportunities abroad.

I once again request your kindself to look into the matter on priority basis and direct the concerned authority to dispatch my passport at the earliest.

Hope you will do the needful & Help me in getting the passport at the earliest.

i am not getting PV , i went and asked commissioner office on 16/07/11 they said we will send to police station Yesvantpur still not yet sent, my passport is there any problem regarding issuing the passport.i am checking the status everyday but whenever i check i get the same message saying that your file is sent to PV ,i am getting this message from last 70 days,still howmany days i have to wait for my passport.

I Rajeshwari Bhadti has not received my passport. When checked the status it always shows "Sent for Police Verification, once received the Passport would be dispatched".

File Number is BN[protected], applied on[protected].The passport was applied under Tatkal scheme.

Since Passport Office did not keep its promise of delivering the passport within 10-15 days time, what is the next step I can take ? How to make these people understand the meaning of the word Service.

I believe there is a nexus of Passport Officers, and the Police to collect the bribe, hence they don't clear these at the earliest.

Requesting the help in this regard.

I tried contacting RPO Bangalore on Tel Numbers mentioned in website for 1000 times. No one there to pick phone. Nobody replying for any emails written to RPO Bangalore.

Where the applicant Should go asking HELP?

My daughter born in India in March 21st 2011. We applied for her passport at passport office Bangalore on 5th April 2011. Police verification was completed 1st week of June. I and my wife both have valid Indian passport. A visa also attached on both o[censored]s passport which also sent for process the application faster. For further details you can have a look of below mention communications.
As it is taking a long time and no favoralbe response from RPO and other officials. I decided to rise this in front of media.
Kindly provide me with the following information.
1. Where the application currently is pending, with which staff member or officer are they pending?
2. Reasons for which they are currently pending and the data since when they are pending with the staff.
3. Reasons for the application not being disposed off in spite of over 2 months having passed since we submitted our application for passport.
4. Is there any benchmark time limit set by the RPO or any other Passport issuing authority for issuing passport, either in its Citizen Charter or any other internal documents? If, yes, a copy of the Citizens Charter or the internal documents may kindly be supplied.
5. On an average, duration this calendar year, what was the average time taken for issuing a passport?
6. Has the RPO or any of his officers or staff taken any corrective measures or made any efforts to reduce delays in issuing of passports.
7. Reason for performing police verification on 1 Month old infant while both parents holding valid Indian passport and visa attached on this.
8. I doubt, is anyone reading email at RPO office or email is a part of eye wash.
It is very frustrating after going through all this from last 3 months. Have we done anything wrong?
I request your intervention in this regard as this process has taken extremely long and there is no one who is able to provide me with the right information. As informed earlier I am a resident of Oman and I am unable to apply for the infant’s visa as the passport is not ready yet. Arrival of the passport will enable me to get my family here and see my daughter who I am severely missing.

I am hoping for the passport to arrive and would appreciate a response from you this time.

I would like to bring to your kind notice that the passport application No. BN19Z[protected] of my infant Maryam Safi was filed on[protected] and submitted to Bangalore RPO on[protected] for which the policy enquiry was conducted at our home early June' 2011 and RPO Bangalore system updated the same. Status is showing "Police enquiry is under process"

It gives me a big disappointment that i do not get any response for below mentioned emails. No proper response from help desk and no one use to pick the call at RPO Bangalore office. No action taken as on today it seems? No response for Service request no [protected] logged on 06/05/2011. I have not received my infant passport despite number correspondence and mails to all concerned

This is most unfortunate. It appears no heed is paid to public grievances at any level.

I end up closing this mail and have to rush personally to the passport Office.

1. Why do you have a mail system for back and forth?
2. What is the point having a grievances department for actions on complaints, if your local passport Office does not have time to read and reply our mails?

Your early action and response will be highly appreciated.

I am mailing you to follow up my previous mail (attached here) which was sent on May 7 2011. I am extremely disappointed that as yet I have not received any reply to my mail nor any action has been taken. I am hoping that this time you will reply me and help me to achieve a fruitful result. The matter is about the application of a passport for my infant Maryam Safi born on 21 March 2011.

After calling the help centre a number of times they finally found the file and initiated police enquiry which was done almost a month before and submitted to Bangalore. Why it took so long to find the file itself is a mystery to me? The issue that I have now is that the passport has not been dispatched yet and the help desk has no clue when it will be dispatched. In fact they don’t even know the exact status and that is quite concerning to me.

I request your intervention in this regard as this process has taken extremely long and there is no one who is able to provide me with the right information. As informed earlier I am a resident of Oman and I am unable to apply for the infant’s visa as the passport is not ready yet. Arrival of the passport will enable me to get my family here and see my daughter who I am severely missing.

Myself Mohammed Safiulla Sharief, writing this mail after considerable thought with the hope to get information about the passport application number BN19Z[protected] DOB 21st March 2011 for my newly born daughter MARYAM SAFI. The passport was applied on April 8th 2011 at District Police Office. The application has reached to RPO on 15th of April 2011. I have also come to know that it has been submitted to PSK Lalbagh Main Road Bangalore. I have communicated regularly with the call centre regularly, but they have no information even after sending an acknowledgment copy for receiving passport application. I am not able to track the status of the application online, although that should be available 5 days after the application is submitted.
My sincere request you to answer my following queries.

a) Why I cannot track the application status online or call centre not able to provide information?
b) How long will it take to process the passport?
c) As we applied normal scheme, can we change this to tatkal for faster process?
Hope you can understand the severity and this mail will be good for me from your side.

You should not use the tatkal facility of Passport. There is the demerit in tatkal facility.
Police verification is done after the passport retrival. When police verification will be done for the person , no one knows. If police verification is done after six months and the person is not available at home, police will be writing Adverse report and you will never get your passport once your current passport expires. Generally tatkal facility is used by the person, if someone needs passport immediately so that he can go abroad immediately. Ofcourse the person does not wait for the police verifcation.
Tatkal facility does not favours the common person. Common person gets victim of Adverse Report and the next time he is not going to get his passport.
Time has come to think about the use of tatkal facility.
Its better to apply passport normally. You will get your passport after Police verification.
I know that there are 70 % passport cases are pending because of Adverse report. No know has the answer to resolve Adverse cases. Adverse Cases are because the person was not available during police verification. But the passport office employee says that The person having Adverse report will never get passport.
I appeal supreme court to resolve this issue.

I feel that new website www.passportindia.gov.in has the new facility like any date can be changed for the status . I think that this is illegal. If someone has police verification completed on feb 10 and you wrote like police verification completed on April 1 , 2011. which is illegal.

I have created account (ASMIMOHITE) for my daughgter
and filled passport application form (ARN[protected] and uploaded it along with
required supporting documents. Today (24-Apr-2011 8.00am) I tried to
book appointment for submission of documents and fees for passport
under Tatkaal scheme. To my surprise there was no slot available at
both passport seva kendra for Bangalore. When tried to check
availability for slot under Normal scheme even then there were no open
slots available.
If such is the case then I seriously belive that having such a good
website is just waste of Public money. Me and my wife have applied
Passport through Postal Passport Service and got our passport in time.
One of my friend who has applied for his passport has got appointment
after 40 days, know this very late. If you dont get appointment with passport seva kendra to submit documents for more than 60 days then it real pain. If everthing is online then, then allow submission of original proofs through speed post.
Please rethink your strategy and restart the Postal Passport Service
once again. I would aslo like to highlight that, i dont now how come
the passport agents manage to get slots for Tatkaal and Normal
scheme's as per there requirment and will.

I have sent mail to each related person more than 10 times but till
yet didn't get a proper response from any one. till yet i have gone 5

commissioner office bangalore. it is like they are playing a game with
me. in commissioner office each time they told that they have already
sent my detail to h.s.r layout police station on September 23 rd March
but in police station they have checked there mails and they told they
didn't get till yet. please tell me how many times i have to run and
mail for the same issue.


i am requesting you to take an appropriate action as soon as possible
as i have already mentioned many times that i am a student and facing

I have applied for Passport on 30/11/2009 ie., nearly 1 year. I have submitted all the relevent documents and yet my passport work have not been done by the concerned department and authority.
As I urgently required my passport for job as well as research studies purpose in U.K., U.S.A. & Malaysia, but due to lethargic work of the department I have not received my passport and have lost numbers of opportunities and my future seems in dark due to their negligence.
I have also request the complaint authority of Passport Department but there is no response or action from their side. Does it mean that the Passport authority decides the fortune of the citizen of India or the concerned are fully corrupt and are waiting for some favour from my side.
I have lost all my hope for justice from all the departments and hopelessly I am complaint to the consumer complaint service, but the service shall be worthwhile if it have any control or power to get justice to the complainants. Or its just sharing of problems through this forum.
