passport — Delay in getting passport of child

Dear Sir,

I am Nilesh Shirgaonkar from Pune.I had applied for my daughter's passport (File No: PNE-M[protected] Application Date is[protected].The online status just keeps on showing: It is to regret that due to unavoidable circumstances the despatch of Passport has been delayed and will now be despatched in a week's time.

Its already 2 weeks that I am seeing this notice.If this is the case for child's passport where a police verification is not required, I wonder what would be delay in the case for a adult passport.

Please guide me through this.

Dear Sir,

I had applied for passport of my son (minor) to bhopal passport office. Application date is[protected] and File Reference No. is BPL-W[protected]. Application Status is shown as "It is to regret that due to unavoidable circumstances the despatch of Passport has been delayed and will now be despatched in a week's time" from last 1 month.
Kindly let me know why is it delayed so much. I need it urgently as we need to travel out of country. We are not able to plan just because of delay in receiving his passport.

I am Kaushik Koundinya Lakshmikantha i have applied for passport on 24/04/12, and the file number is "BN[protected]", DOB 30/12/1987, even after 3 months the verification process is not been done, i have also went to tilaknagar police station and asked about this process but they replied that they have not yet recieved from commissioner office bangalore, so kindly inform when the verification will be done, hope you reply the positive result.

Dear Sir,

I am Venkatesh and applied for my passport on 02 feb 2010 with file# B06018810, its been showing GREEN in the status and comment as "your Police veriffication report is recieved and file is under further process" since more tha 40Day's.

Even I been to RPO enquiry on 05 april 2010 and enquired, they adviced me to write complaint and give it to the office and I did the same, even I enquired how many day's it would take to get my Passport, they said 15 day's.

But till day i haven't recieved any information regarding my Passport.

Kindly help me to get my Passport as soon as possible.

Abdul Raheem had applied for passport on 09/02/2011 with file No. BN[protected]. my Police inquiry was not initiate after long struggle i visited SP Office Kolar 5 times then they initiated Police inquiry 10/08/2011 then i submitted all the documents at our police station the inquiry was over. but till now i have not received the passport. Please tell me when i would receive my passport.

Totally agree with above.
I filled an application[protected] for my brother today but not able find any slots.
Last year found it so easy to make my parents passport.

I'm facing the same problem.
In March I saw slot available from Apr 26 onwards but I did not booked for some document issues.
Now I'm watching for the available slots almost every day from Apr 1 2011 and I get disappointed every time. If the agents can get the slots according to there wish, then authorities should not delay investigating and probe.

I realised this...Suggestion to improve this problem...
You would have noticed that we are asked to book the appointment slot for verification of original of documents & submission of fees. The process is like this...
1. Select your ARN and ------ click "manage appointment"
2. New page opens... here you select "Create Appointment"
3. Next page opens is "Show Slots Online"... here you choose "PSK Location"
4. Then you select the type of application :Normal/Tatkaal"
5. On this selection you get a tab "Check available slot" Hence there should be "Book Available Slot" and the Date & Time should booked by system.

I think if Passport Seva Port follows this method, then there would be no complaints.

I got my application submitted for my daughter...there I came to know about walk-in facility. People can directly go to desired PSK, take a application form along with 2 set of pohot copies of required dcouments along with originals. Fill in the form get it verified, get a token, wait till your no. is called, pay the fees, get your sanps taken, again your documents are verified at 2 stages and then you will get your passport as your category, ic. Normal / Tatkaal...If you plan to get you passport through Walk-in then make sure that you reach PSK's by 8:00AM its like first cum first basis and remember to take all documents as per document list given on website...yuo would be out by noon...

I want to know which application form you have taken print-out of?

Additionally, they accept walk-in only emergency that is what is given in site ?

I got my daughter's passport done through Tatkaal. You need to take the prinout of the appointment form.. it is given on your home page. first select your application (ARN) and then select the "Print Appointment" when you get the printout check whether the barcode is printed on it.

So you are saying even if you didn't get the appointment slot for ur daugther.. you just took the printed Application receipt(with the barcode) and the required documents. You got everything done?

I am Abhishek Anand applied for paasport on 24th of August 2010 on PSK BANGALORE. MY file ref no BN[protected] and date of birth is 05.01.1988 . but till yet police didn't come for verification. for this
I have sent mail to each related person more than 10 times but till
yet didn't get a proper response from any one. till yet i have gone 5
times to my nearest police station , 2 times rpo bangalore , 2 times
commissioner office bangalore. it is like they are playing a game with
me. in commissioner office each time they told that they have already
sent my detail to h.s.r layout police station on September 3rd 2010
but in police station they have checked there mails and they told they
didn't get till yet. please tell me how many times i have to run and
mail for the same issue.


i am requesting you to take an appropriate action as soon as possible
as i have already mentioned many times that i am a student and facing
too much problem to go for this issue.

Reference to the application for fresh passport for my wife, Vidjealatchoumy vide File Reference No. A02478509 dated 30th December 2009. I would like to submit the true facts for your kind consideration and necessary action. With reference to the online Passport status, She was asked to resubmit the Proof of address.

Police verification was done on 06/Feb/2010, 20/Feb/2010 and on 21/Feb/2010. Reverification was done on 08/June/2010 and 10/June/2010 due to address proof. As per Madiwala Police record the final report was send to Commissioner office on 17/June/2010. I personnally verified on 18/June/2010 at Madiwala PS through Mr. Eswarappa Ruli and Mr Basha.

I have posted a letter on 14/May/2010 with all copies of necessary address proofs and 3 PP Form. She has also approached Superintendent (Enquiry) on 31/May/2010 but not success. Subsequently, the Office of the RPO, Bangalore vide their letter dated 31/May/2010 requested for personal particulars form, which was submitted to the PRO personally on 01/July/2010. Once again She approached RPO, Bangalore on 12/July/2010, as per the email reply from Mr. Jayaram, ACP Madivala Sub Division Office, stated with Police Commissioner office Sl. No. 19 and G.R. No. 230/10 (Good Report Number) dt. 22/6/2010, but enquiry office does not allowed us to meet Passport Officer. On the other hand Pondicherry Regional Passport Office, verified parament address proof on 11/June/2010. And everytime we've approached we've been asked to submit address proof and a letter from local bank (as address proof) again. On 30/March 2011, I have submitted all copies of proof and paid Rs. 5, 000/-- and received a receipt from RPO, Bangalore. Its now ONE YEAR and FOUR MONTHS (i.e. 476 days from the date of application). I have no idea how long it is going to take.

Could you possibly assist, and if so, could you explain what I am possibly doing wrong, If so, please escalate this request to appropriate person. Kindly help us in getting a passport for her at the earliest and please feel free to contact me on [protected].

I applied for reissue of Passport on 11th Nov. 2009. and Police verification was also done immediately. The status is showing 'Police verification received and is line for further processing' for the last 40 days. I do not understand why PP office should take so long for reissue of passport after receving police verification and all correct documentation. If there is any defect in the application they should immediately let us know to take appropriate action.
It is strange that a high profile department like Passport Office is so insensitive to apllicants. Such long delay and total absence of communication makes us wonder if the PP office is working or closed. Unlike other govt, offices PP office has closed doors to public for meeting the officials and find out facts.
Hope this complaint reaches right person in the department.

I had applied for the Fresh Passport on 06.03.2010 vide BANGALORE ONE center and my application no: B20032710 and the necessary Police Enquiry had been completed on 11.3.2010 but till date no process is seen in the STATUS whereas it shows as " Under Police Verification and DOC not received" which is contridicting when physically checked with K.R.PURAM Police Station.

Very humbly I place some facts before you for your kind and sympathetic consideration ;

_My son Shailesh Mota a student o NITK Surathakal Karnatka applied for Pass port along with his friends in view of his expected campus selections in the year 2008.
_ The police and CID verification was done in Jammu and the papers were forwarded to Banglore in December 2008.
_ The annual Darbar move takes place in this state and all the offices shift to Kashmir valley in summer . I too got transferred to Srinagar in July 2008 and the issue could not be followed up further .
_ After taking up the issue with passport office I was told that his police verification is pending .
_verification was again got done and forwarded to Karnatka in March 2009 .
_ I took up the issue with Passport office Banglore through Email on site [protected]@dataone . wherefrom I am informed that Passport has been sent vide number EK[protected] on 24.04..2009. Down load of this message is enclosed
_ Since my son had given the address of his college I make him to rush back to Surathkal from Jammu to collect the passport.
_ The boy goes to post office but he is old that nothing has been received..He is stuck up in Surathkal now not knowing what to do. Whn he should have ben wih his mother for college holidays.
_ Since 01.05.2009 I am sending E Mails to Passport office Banglore but no reply.
_ I faxed a letter to the said office but no reply.
_ When I opened the site of the passport office for current STATUS, it depicts POLICE VERIFICATION REPORT RECEIVEED FILE UNDER FURTHER PROCESSING.DO NOT SEND EMAIL. Sir my son is stuck up in Surathkal for this issue as he could not spend his vacation with his mother at Jammu since we were informed on the net that Passport has been despatched..I directed him to go to Surathkal immediately in view of the SMS that Passport stands issued .

Since I am posted in Valley and work In a Bank it is not possible for me to go to Banglore and again spend about Rs20000/= .to sort out the issue and know factual details. I seek your kind intervention and help me out in this matter as the boy is in SURATHKAL waiting for my directions since last one month ., His mother is worried in Jammu and I am helpless in Kashmir . All o[censored]s are groping in darkness . Help me out to get this Passport Sir. This is my SOS.
