Passport Office Bhopal — Long Delay in passport

Sir/Madam,
I had applied for passport in the month of Oct.2007 and submitted all the necessary documents to passport office and as per enquiry by me towards passport officer Mandsaur, M.P. They told me police report is already sent to the passport office Bhopal. so i request please see in this matter and do the needful. The detailed information regarding passport application is as given below.

I applied for fresh passport on 17-02-10 @ bhopal passport office.Everything was OK, all documents, police verification and date to issue of passport was 27-05-10. But when i checked the status on this date the office put the following objection.

Please furnish attested copy of proof of your current residential address i.e. Election Commission Identity CardGRation CardGElectricity BillG Telephone BillGBank Passbook (all pages)Gservice certificate from your employer etc. which should be in your name or your spouse9s name or in the name of your parents(if you are dependent on them).

Regarding which I submitted the copy of my passbook and an application as told by counter person on 01-06-10 which resulted in no change in my status till 7-06-10 so I again submitted the same on 08-06-10.
getting the words from the counter person that this time it will change but till now there is no change.I am helpless and dont know what to do next.

I am Sweta Shrivastava. I have applied for passport on sept. 2007.
I needed the passport at the time of verification in my company in which i am working right now. But the Passport office people told me that some problem is there so it will take time.
My verification for passport was done in Nov. 2007.
They then told me that you will receive your passport with in 1 month by post. After that no response came from them. When my parents called them they then told that there was some problem in police verification and the Inspector who made the report says that the girl is not a resident in the house and trying to make a fake passport.
Then that application was canceled.
After that I made a fresh application for the Passport. Today 8 months are over for that also and when I called the respective person who is responsible for the submittion of my Application, He told me that your passport is not made yet and I will see that application tommorrow and then tell you that how much time will it take. He even did not told me my application Reference No. so that I can check with the higher athourities regarding the same...

I dont know what to do next because when I applied for passport I was a resident of Madhya Pradesh. But in Nov. 2007 I got the company joining and I moved to Mumbai(Maharashtra). Then after 3 months in Feb. 2008 my company transferred me to Bangalore(Karnataka). Now when I even dont know that my application is IN-PROCESS or not, I even cant apply for the new one because if it is in any case IN-PROGRESS then they will again apply the case of forgery and cancel my new application...

This is in reference to numerous reminders to the Bhopal passport office by my father Sub C D Chahal, regarding my passport, nothing has been done so far...
I hope someone bothers to reply atleast...

The DOB shown in his certificate os in malyalm ERA .Will you accept a current certificate issue Malayalam ERA - i.e equivalent DOB in English ERA.If not what is the solution?

While checking status of my passport on MP-Passport Portal, these objections are shown as "Please submit attested copies of documents in support of date of birth and current address. The rubber stamp of the attesting authority should clearly indicate the name, designation, office, place of posting and telephone number. "
After that i had sent relevant documents attested by gazetted officer to passport office.But after that more than month has been passed, but neither i have not got any reply nor i have got any update.

I am Clement Lawrence, I am very much frustrated by the attitude and the working system of the Passport Office, Bhopal. I am eager to know about the status of my passport which has been applied 6 moths back.

I was working in Kenya in 2010 at Mediheal Hospital & Fertility Centre as an Administrator Incharge. My employer had forcefully kept my passport under his custody. He was treating very badly & misbehaving all the time. I made a complaint to the Indian High Commissioner (Hon Mr Tripathi), Nairobi, Kenya in August 2010. After going through my complaint he called my employer and ask him to give my passport back but since my employer is a high profile business man he didn’t give my passport back at the same time. I had requested Hon High Commissioner to kindly arrange my way back to India. He had issued me an emergency certificate to travel back to India. Later on my employer had sent my passport to the Indian Embassy, Nairobi, Kenya and they had sent back my passport to the Passport Office, Bhopal which is been cancelled.


I had applied for a fresh passport 6 month back, I have submitted all the supportive documents related to my previous passport. All formalities has been done police report is also clear but still I am really wondering what makes it to so much delay. I understand that there is a procedure in which it requires time to make sure that it is going in a right way but still it is almost 6 months I had applied for. Infact, I went to passport office, Bhopal several time and requested passport officer Smt V K Vaghela to let me know the status of my passport, she always tells me that we will dispatch it within a week time she never told me the reason of being delayed. I already got an appointment in a healthcare company in Dubai through Apollo Hospital New Delhi. I was under impression that my passport will be reached me any time since I have been told by the passport officer but it never happened I could not work and my 6 months has been wasted just because of the false statement of the officer. She was always seen reluctant and always talks in a rude way. Whenever I asked her, I was told the same story that it will dispatch within a week time.


Atleast I should know the reason of being delayed so that I can decide for the next step

I don't know what to do how to get my passport. I am requesting you if you can please guide me the way forward. I hope I will get revert at the earliest
