Ghaziabad — Renewal of passport delayed for over 2 yrs

I had applied for renewal of passport in 2005 and I havnt got my passport yet. I have visited passport office several times but in vain. I have missed out on lot opp given by my org to travel abroad. And now I want to go for honeymoon to europe but dont think i can go.

Hi Everyone,
Just to let you know that Ghaziabad passport office is one of worst passport offices in INDIA. Now the good news soon TCS passport seva should takeover passport office and you should get your passport in 3 days as it is happening in Bangalore and Chandigarh. The Ghaziabad passport office recently issued many passports to Show their ghandigiri for the time being and articles in newspapers (TOI etc) were published recently however improvement is there to some extend but overall turnaround can be done on;y through privatization. Most of the people still facing same issues only the lucky ones are getting their passports in time.

My mother's name is sirisha pandraveti and her passport file number is A 367160.We had applied for her passport on oct1st '09.Police enquiry ws ovr long before n when ever i checked her passport status on the net i kept seeing that 'all reports are clear n passport wil despatched on nov24th.But to our dismay haven't received on the said date.Later again they updated saying 'due to un-avoidable circumstances passport despatch is delayed and it wil b further despatched on dec11th.But today is dec16th.There is no proper update status on the net also.

Finally today an unknown person had come from another town saying he received my mother's passport in place of his passport. The address on the postal cover is his address but the passport is my mother's instead of his passport.How can you people do such flaws????How can you be so careless to place somebody else's passport in somebody else's postal cover?????Dont you guys know the importance of passport?Are you'l really sleeping govt employees??????So irresponsible and so careless the RPO administration is.This is ridiculous to know that such mistakes can be made from passport office.And at the same time highly atrocious.we keep calling the so called RPO no's hyd.But no person is botherd to attend our calls.Then why the heck should you provide those number's in the place of' CONTACT US'.Please remove those no's.Your contact information is of no use to any o[censored]s.We are already very much in need of the passport and inspite of all these wonderful delays you people made,ultimately the passport has reachd a wrng person.... why are you people so reckless about the ciitizens? i really dont know what other better job you people in the passport office have to do.This is your job n your paid for it right?Then why are u'l treating the publice so carelessly?It is your minimum responsibility to ensure we receive our passports in the so called 'said time'.then why aren't u'l doin your job perfectly?Am very sad to say that government servants are very imperfect in doin their jobs.Dont you people know the importance of a passport inspite of workng in RPO?Am really ashamed of the services provided by the governmnt sectors to the public and also lack of commitment and lack of social responsibility of govt employees towards the fellow citizens.

My name is Mohit Kumar and I am working with ICICI Bank . I have applied for a Passport in the month of June 28, 2011 and its almost an year now that I am struggling for the passport.

I had visited passport office several(25-30) times and the 3 personal particular forms being submitted to the passport office there is no action being taken from Ghaziabad passport office. In Dec 2011, I had submitted the 3 personal particular forms duly signed by me and also verification has been done on my permanent add on 22/01/2012 . but when i was checking the status on website, the link itself was showing that 'police verification pending pls submit the 3 personal particular forms'.


I was really shocked when I saw the details quoted as “Please send 3 personal particular forms with photo pasted in the box and signed across (half signature on application and half on photo) with correct address and proof’. I rushed to the passport office several times to inquire on the information that we were asked to furnish. There we nearly stood in the inquiry queue for about 3 hrs. It was really sad to see the way in which the people were forced to stand. With great difficulty I managed to talk to a person (pawan)with a disgusting behavior with an atrocious temperament. We were told nothing about the status.


Ghaziabad Passport office is too bad in talking with people and passport aspirants especially. I am very disheartened for the same and would like to take legal action if i will not be getting any response in this regard.


I have decided to take this issue legally and compensate for all the physical stress and mental strain that I had gone through in getting a passport.



Hope you can understand the situation and issue us passport immediately. Also I request that the system should change and be easily accessible to common people with better benefits.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I had applied for passport of my mother on 11.5.12. Police verification was done but the inspector filled some wrong information for which my mother's status was "Adverse Police verification report". She was asked to come in person to Ghaziabad office to explain this. to our shock she was told that she is already holding a passport then why has she applied for another passport.

This was ridiculous. When she inquired about this blunder with the same inspector who came for the verification, he very conveniently said that "Madam I must have ticked in the wrong box".

The verification was done again in Jan 2013 but nothing has happened till date. Even her online status has not changed since she last visited the office.

She is a widow and stays alone due to her Government service and we (me n my sister) are married and settled abroad. I have some medical issue for which she is required to visit me during my treatment for support.

I have submitted my passport at AGRA on 07/02/2012 & My file # is GZB-Z000509.
My police inquiries has been done in March but still when I am checking online status its showing that "Police report did not received", while I checked with the concerned police station they are saying that its already submitted to the passport office on 02/03/2012.
Please let us know why I did not received my passport & why the status still showing the wrong information? I need my passport ASAP. Kindly look into the matter at your earliest.

I submitted all the documents for reissue of passport to PSK, Sahibabad on 06.08.12 but bI have not received the same till date. After seeing the status report, it states that it is pending for want of police verification whereas police has already done verification. In fact my husband also applied for reissue of passport on the same day and police verification was done for both o[censored]s on the same day but my husband has already received the new passport weithin a week.

Kindly look into the m atter and request you to get it despatched at an early date.

I applied for fresh passport through www.passportindia.gov.in/ on 6th june-2012. After Submitting all documents on passport seva Kendra at Ghaziabad (Passport Seva Kendra, Sahibabad Industrial Area ) on 15th june-2012. Police verification was done on 3rd Aug-2012.

My brother applied for passport in September 2006 and complete enquiry id done. Complete one year has passed and still he has not received his passport. He has to apply for visa for further studies. However, he has no passport till now. On internet, since January, its showing , that "Passport is will be dispatched within 1 week time" . He went to enquire about it at Gaziabad office, first they said...documents are not complete , next time they said its ready but not dispatched, then the officer said it will be dispatched in 15 days. And its almost more than 2 months, still he has not received his passport. We dont, in this case what we should do.

After few (15-20) days of submission of application form, I checked my passport status at Ghaziabad passport office website and fount status as: "Police Report incomplete and The case is being examined". Police verification already done .
I have wrote so many time complaints at Ghaziabad office site, but no response. It still showing passport status is same as:"Police Report incomplete and The case is being examined"
