There was this male sitting aside a female employee who was patient and doing her work.I had applied my application type as tatkal for re-issue of passport (expiry date being Sept) and carried all my documents as mentioned on the website.The moment I hand over my passport to this middle aged fair complexion male (couldn’t get his name) he shouts at me saying “You have damaged your passport? What is this?” I say I didn’t damage, it was damaged during one of my visa processings.He tries to defend himself for some reason”But we didn’t damage it, you have to pay fine for it and re-issue passport via damage process”.He talks to the lady “put this under re-issue under damage category”, she replies”No, it’s okay not that damage”.He says I need 3 documents which has same address.I say this was not mentioned on your website.I got married 2 years back and got my marriage certificate a few days back and for now only my Aadhar card is updated with the address.He says no, yours is tatkal, I need 3 proofs with same address, and marriage certificate is not acceptable. Had it been Normal I would have accepted 1 proof for address. “All this rudely and shoo-ing off attitude. And he says come tomorrow like he will give me appointment separately. It’s so difficult to get a single appointment.He also said, your shouldn’t be a tatkal case as expiration is 2nd september and this is May only.So Mr. tatakal psk, you don’t know my need, you don’t the visa process and you probably don’t know the entire hustle one goes through to make a comment whether it is important/urgent for me. When the approver asks me for why it is tatkal, I’ll tell the approver authority why I applied for tatkal and not normal or why I am applying in May and not a day before the passport expiration. I’d to hustle in morning, in middle on work, with no food to hear him shoo-ing away people.
