Passport Office Ghaziabad — Why renewal passport is on hold

I Suraj singh work in merchant Navy. I was on board the ship when my passport expire . I could not signed off before expire because of COVID .My passport expire on 16 th Oct 21 . I signed off on 3rd nov from Japan they allowed us and they issued me a EC CERTIFICATE and I have old passport along with me. I applied for renewal of my passport on 6 dec 21 on psk center shahibada ghaziabad, I submitted all necessary documents along with old passport and EC CERTIFICATE also . After one month status was application is under review on regional passport office . On 3rd Jan 22 I visited rpo ghaziabad and again submitted all documents along with EC certificate in front of regional officer but still status is same I didn't get my passport . My 2 joining have been cancelled due to delay in passport
Please do the needful n resolve my issue
