I applied for my passport on 7th- July 2008 its been 21 days I have not recieved police verification. Could you please help.

My name is Afreen, and i had applied passport on 24th Feb, 09. my File#H001440. The status in the enquiry says that Passport has been granted and expected to be dipatched on 9th June, 09. Subject to all documents in proper order.

But sir till date, the staus bar in the enquiry is showing the same. infact i had been visited many times to the passport ofice and they said it will be dispatched ina week or 10days time. Still nothing has been done. i kindly request you to look into my situation and doo the needful ASAP.

I have applied for Police Clearance Certificate via File No : M009730,dated 08-March-2010 at Regional Passport Office ,hyderabad.After display of passport status like Police verification is clear,file under further process,Your passport will be despatch by 04-May-2010 & Due to unavoidable circumstances your passport will be despatched in a week's time and Now TODAY THE STATUS SHOWS WRONG FILE NUMBER OR NO INFORMATION AVAILABLE.

I have applied for renewal of my passport before 2 months .My file number is F01853910.Police verification is over 1 month back and still we are getting message as "IT WILL DISPATCHED SOON".I have to go abroad officially in 1 month and this delay is a hurdle for me to apply for VISA.

Did you get the passport yet? If you complain, the RPO-Hyderabad shall delay the passport willfully. This is a Mafia and it looks like top most officials and even external affairs ministry is part of this corruption. Best thing is to silently bribe the officials and get your work done. If you submit your application without broker, without bribe, your application is likely to be sidelined. below is my case- After umpteen reminders the message on passport status shows 'police verification not done'. Below is my letter to the President of India because I was so vexed up sending reminders and running from pillar to post.

I applied for renewal of my passport on Jan 11, 2011 (My passport number is B0397139, reference number HYD-L[protected]. I am a scientist. Police enquiry for my passport was done six weeks ago. I need to travel urgently to meet my collaborators at Stockholm. I have to travel along with my wife, Mrs Sailasree (File reference number is HYD-H[protected], who applied for passport along with me. It was probably a mistake that I refused to bribe the gate keepers at RPO Hyderabad & process my application through a broker. I filed my application through e-seva center that admits passport renewal applications where the passport has valid visas.

After several reminders to Mr RPO, Hyderabad, I still find the status of my application as 'Police Report Not Received'. To get the police verification number, I have to run again from pillar to post. To gain access to speak to RPO or officials at RPO-Hyderabad, I have to bribe the security staff (Rs 2000 is standard fee to go to office). I would rather donate this money to the Prime Minister's fund than bribe. Can you help me Madam? It will be great if I can be in Sweden on 24th. My Schengen visa is expired and I need atleast one week to get it done.

The complaints are genuine, but where is the action, did any higher officials are taking action on this complaints. every government departs in this country are surviving on the people of this country, is there any one government servant are loyal to the people of this country. God only knows the fate of the people of this country.

There are lot of complaints of this nature appearing daily in newspapers against the RPP Office, Hyderabad

Do the authoririties at the Regional Passport Office, Hyderabad / Ministry of External Affairs wake up, set right the malfunctioning and resolve my complaint by dispatching the passport without further delay.

I would encourage all people who are trying to get passports to make sure their post office is not withholding them somewhere. It is illegal to interfere with the post, and charges should be laid against post office personnel who are interfering with the delivery of mail in your countries. That is all I have to say. Besides, that, it doesn't hurt to pray and ask God for help.

I applied for the update in the name of my passport. My old passport had the "Surname" field as blank and in order for me to travel to US the surname field shouldn't blank. I and my wife has applied for a passport in 23/3/2010...when i checked the status, it states that "Passprt is dispatched at 10 july 2010"...But still we have not receives that to pur hands

I have applied for renewal of passport on 13th July 2010, Till now police verification has not been done. The status displayed on the official website is"police enquiy pending".
