I have applied for the passport of my wife on 31-DEC-09 from Ranchi (Jharkhand). There are two varification of passport one from the Local Police Thana and other from CID/CBI varification.The police varification has been done on after one and half of submitting but till waiting for CID/CBI varification.
Since last approx 04 month no CID/CBI varofication.

As promised by ministry of external affairs, they will deliver passport within 02 month, where are these promise and action.

when I tried to get the current status I found that even after 5 months the status is same as "Police Report has not been received". The police headquarter in Jamshedpur and local pollice thana send the varification report on the same date. But why it is taking these much of time for CID/CBI varification from the jamshedpur HQ. Now after 14 months your officers has come back at my old address for enquiry and they found locked there so they went to

It’s been 5 months now and applied 3 times, still the passport is not yet issued. This passport is for a kid who is 2 and half year old and for which police enquiry has also been done around 4 months back. Being a father and a citizen of India i did my best to get a passport for my son but still i could not succeed. i do not know the reason why the passport is not issued. i request the concerned officials to look into this matter urgently and do the needful.
