Pls do the needful in getting the status info

I am david. I have applied for my passport on 15/09/2009. File number is Z404465 09. I am doing my B.tech in govt. college of engineering, kannur.But I am reside in kollam.The passport office needed the verification from both kollam and kannur. My verification from my home town is done successfully but is not yet done in the place where i am studying. This delay is causing trouble for us. Sir I am going to dubai for visit immediate. So kindly take the action immediately.

Trivandrum Passport Office Tips:

Passport officers are least bothered whether you stand in queue for hours or you apply for a passport. So to the applicants...bring all the documents...no matter what...because if you think you brought 5 documents the officers will ask for the 6th document. Birth certificate is very important document. Make sure all the documents have the same address ( we know this is not possible...but the officers dont ). Get ready to see funny face expressions and various tongue twisting words from them. FOR THESE PASSPORT OFFICERS ITS ALL ABOUT SPENDING A DAY, DRINKING CHAYA AT 10.30 ALONG WITH A UZHUNU VADA KADI, CHAYA AT 4.00 ALONG WITH VAZHAKKA APPAM OR ULLI VADA KADI.

The passport status is showing as "REF. TO POLICE-PV ADV. WITH EXPLANATION ".

Recently I have been changed my address in my PP AND it took 30 days because the PP has been issued by the RIYADH EMBASSY. so, PP office carried out the PV again and issued my passport without any problem.

Better your father can go the PP office and after noon and he can request an appontment with the PP officer. Defenetey they will allow him your father to meet the PP officer and he can explian everything or they will suggest him what document you have to provide more.

Another way, go to one of the agent located near the pp office and they will clear it very soon.

If everything is correct with side, go to www.tharoor.in and complaint it. there will be a result.

Please remind one thing that the passport holder has to present in pp office for any confirmation and enquery.

I have been busy with traveling to the passport office reaching there before officials standing in queue waiting patiently not even allowed to get inside the roof, getting wet, waiting for around 6hours, that's the they work in two days with nothing more than promises that the passport will be delivered within days, months passed nothing happened what am I supposed to do ?.I gave more than 10 applications for inquiry, assistant passport officer, passport officer with all sufficient documents checked and rechecked confirmed OK .Five months passed by
and a good amount of money gone in the process . Still !! My status reads

But i am studing in New Delhi and i given my institute bonafide letter with my application. my institute verification is pending Now its self. Hi all, I had the same problem, "Ref. to police other region", was the status for a very long time. So I went to the Passport office, Trivandrum, and met the Officer (Grievance Cell), submitted an application for quick resolving of the issue, in the morning.
Later in the afternoon session, they verified my files, and said it was a delay caused due to the "other region police verification", and said they ll take it up and the problem ll be resolved soon.
By God's grace, the status "Your passport is despatched on..." the next week, and I got the passport 2days later to the date of despatch.
So I insist people with similar problems to go to the passport office and do a re-check on the papers submitted. Yes, it is a very tedious task. I reached the office aroung 7am to be in the queue and finally got out of the office by 3.30pm. But since its about the passport, I say, its worth waiting!
Thanks to the officer for taking my problem into consideration.
