Passport Processing — Delay in passport processing

We applied for passport on 5th September, 2014. Case File Number is - CA[protected] After multiple follow up and raising complaints the police verification process had been initiated. But it's been long time that the application status is showing as 'Physical police verification is pending', and yet we have not received any call for that verification, also it's not even clear to us which police station is going to conduct the same. We are helpless as nowhere we are getting the correct information, somewhere it is being communicated that we need to go and check in Barasat DIB office, somewhere it is being communicated that we need to go to Barrackpore office and somewhere it is being communicated that we need to check with Ghola office. Don't have any idea what exactly we need to do and where do we need to go. This passport is required for applying a job profile, but because of this delay i am unable to apply for the job. No idea how i will get the correct information about the exact place where my application has been forwarded and what action i need to take so that the police verification is initiated as soon as possible.
