Hi Team,
I am so frustrated now that I am going to escalate this to the Consumer Court.
PLEASE CALL ME AT.
I don't want copy paste replies. I don't want Disha's replies. Let me repeat myself for the 10th time. Add you have to read the entire mail chain before replying me.
Because, I no longer have the mobile number that is registered with Paytm, I cannot receive the otp, whether on sms or on call. So, you requested for the bank statement for security purposes. I then sent the bank statement and received an SMS to call a number to update my contact number. The SMS was only valid for 30 minutes which expired as I was sleeping.
Could you please treat this urgently or else I have to take a strict action. I cannot keep on continuing this mail chain for the rest of my life.
Thanks,
Sahil

The mobile number still hasn't got updated. I did receive an sms to call a number to update the contact. But it was valid for only 30 mins and by the time I checked it, it was more than 30 mins.

Hello Sahil,
This is in regards to the concern which you have raised with Paytm against update of your registered phone number.
Please be informed that OTP verification has been added as an additional layer of security to make sure that only the account owner is able to login to the account.
Since you were not able to verify your mobile number, we need your bank statement reflecting the amount you use to your Paytm wallet last time to verify the same.
Post verification we will update your correct mobile number on your Paytm account within 48 hours.
Note: Any mobile number which is already registered at Paytm cannot be register on some other account.
I hope this helps. Should you need any further assistance, let me know.
Look forward to see you again at Paytm.
Happy to help!

This is totally unacceptable. I keep on repeating my query and you guys are not following it.
I am not able to perform step 1 ie. 1. Sign in to ‘My Account’ at www.paytm.com (http://www.paytm.com/).
For me to be able to sign in, email address/mobile and password are not enough. Once entered, it asks me for otp sent to the number that I no longer have. Which is why this query.
So, there's no way I can login to do anything.
I have reached all heights of frustration. Please refund my wallet money to my bank account.

Hello sahil,
Here’s how you change your mobile number on Paytm accounts:
1. Sign in to ‘My Account’ at www.paytm.com.
2. Click on ‘View Profile’ under the ‘Your account’ section.
3. Once on the ‘View Profile’ page, click on ‘Edit’.
4. Enter your new mobile number, click on ‘Update’ and you're done.
I hope this helps. Should you need any further assistance, let me know.

1. Please do not give me standard copy paste replies.
2. The mobile app login is asking for otp. So, your template is incorrect.
3. If you had read my query properly, I mentioned that I cant try changing the number myself as the login asks for otp that is going to my old number which I do not have.
So, I believe there's nothing I can do to update my number.
Please tell me if you can update my number from [protected] to.
Again, please do not give me a copy paste reply.
Thanks,
Sahil

Hello Sahil,
Please be informed that this additional layer of security is to make sure that only the account owner is able to login to the account. In case OTP is going to the incorrect/inactive number, kindly login to Paytm through mobile site and update the correct mobile number. As of now OTP login is only required on website.
If account is already updated with correct mobile number and you are still not getting OTP then confirm the mobile number once again most likely it would be an issue of typo. If not, there is a resend OTP option next to the OTP field, you may initiate the request again.
I hope this helps. Should you need any further assistance, let me know.
Look forward to see you again at Paytm.
