[Resolved]  PayUMoney — payumoney - are you defrauding people?

Address:500062

Hi Team,

One of my friend's has made a payment of 8442 rupees through PayU gateway using ICICI Credit card on 6th of September 2018 to buy tickets from 'http://greenoceanseaways.com/tickets/portal' . However the transaction was unsuccessful but the amount was deducted from his account. Now the following has been done.

1. We have got in touch with the Merchant 'Green ocean' asking us to refund the money, for which they say that the amount has been charged back to us. (REFERENCE: Merchant copy which PAYU gave to merchant)

2. Now the only choice we have been left with is having endless calls and escalations with ICICI credit card customer service section asking them for a refund. (It has been almost 2 and half months from the date of transaction.)
They comeback with a different receipt stating that the transaction done was indeed successful. (REFERENCE: Copy which PAYU gave to ICICI Bank)

ONE STRANGE THING: Both the pictures are screenshots of attachments sent by PayU company, one stating that the amount has been charged back and one saying the transaction is successful. Refer to red color highlighted text.

PayU, I ask you, are you trying to dupe both the merchant and the consumers too? Beware that a complaint has been raised in RBI (Reserve bank Of India) too about this.

CUSTOMERS using this gateway 'payumoney.com', do not use this for online transactions. I shall go further and file a complaint against the same.

Care to answer why different receipts / proofs are submitted? WHY?

Hi Customer care,

Here are the following details:

1. Merchant Name : www.greenoceanseaways.com, PayU ID: [protected], Bank Reference Number :[protected]
2. I'm hereby attaching the Credit Card statements CC_1.pdf and CC_2.pdf, as you can see Ref.Number - 74931978250000000140494 was debited on 06/09/2018, due to a transaction failure, we have requested ICICI for an interim charge back on 10/09/2018 (meaning not to issue that in the billing cycle due to dispute), From the copu CC_2.pdf, it is clearly seen that Ref.Number - 74931978250000000140494 is debited back on 26/10/2018 in the current billing cycle.
3. Transaction date :[protected], Amount : 8442 INR
4. Email ID: e.[protected]@gmail.com Phone number used for the transaction : [protected]
5. First 6 digits and last 4 digits of the credit card used : (mentioned in the email)
6. UPA/VPA are not used in this transaction.

I have sent all the requested details including the credit card statements, Merchant and ICICI copies as attachments for your reference.

Now, I want the following:

1. I need an email from the PayU customer care with the complaint/issue raised along with the complaint number, so that it's easy to follow up.
2. The number of business days it would take to resolve the request.
3. Why there were two different versions of the Transaction reference copies (The Merchant and the ICICI requested copy).
4. Amount 8442 INR REFUND, AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

Failing which an action would be taken against PayU.
PS: Please also include e.[protected]@gmail.com in this email chain.

UPDATE: No It' s not. Stop beating around the Bush. The money has not been refunded yet.

Dear PayU Team,

WITH ALL DUE RESPECT, since the beginning of the complaint, a list of documents were asked from your side to resolve the request.

Don't simply revert that charge back has been made, while I see no money credited!
Now I need the following information from your side to be very clear and for the proof:

1. The date on which the charge back was raised.
2. The ICICI bank transaction ID (NOT YOUR PAY U ID), which was generated while transferring the amount to the respective ICICI bank, including the screenshot in a pdf format, of the transaction made .

So that we can contact the ICICI Bank using the same transaction ID, and confirm if your reply is a valid one.

Comeback with this information and then reply!!!

Best Regards,
Gayathri

Hi PayU,

When I ask for something in my previous email, you comeback with something else.

We have contacted the merchant on Sept 6th itself and they have given us the copy that you are holding back the money. How dis-trustful you can still become?
