I recently booked an All India Parcel service through Porter, and my experience has been extremely disappointing and fraudulent.

Issue at Pickup: When the delivery agent came to pick up my parcel, he demanded an extra payment in cash. He refused to take the parcel until I paid this additional amount.
Misleading Charges: After pickup, I received an email from Porter stating “IMPORTANT Update on CR16767900” where they claimed the actual parcel dimensions were 70 x 46 x 42 cm instead of the declared 32 x 41 x 75 cm. Based on this, they charged me an additional ₹442.08 and threatened to delay or hold the shipment if I did not pay.
However, during booking I had already correctly mentioned 75 cm height, so their claim is false and misleading.
No Customer Support: There is no contact person or escalation channel to address these issues. All communication is automated, and customers are forced to pay extra amounts without any proper redressal or dispute mechanism.
Why this is unfair:
Porter misguides customers at the time of booking.
They demand hidden charges after pickup, when the customer has no choice.
Their support system is non-existent, leaving customers helpless.
This is an unfair trade practice and amounts to harassment of customers. I request:
Immediate refund of the extra money taken in cash and the ₹442.08 charge.
Strict action against the pickup agent for unethical behavior.
Transparent booking and billing practices to prevent such harassment of customers.
Relief Sought: Refund of wrongful charges and assurance of fair practices.
