I submited a request for a preclosure statement for my loan account HOU/BAN/0517/385718 on the 30th of December'23 in the Jayanagar Branch in Bangalore. The stated turnaround time for this is 21 days. It will be 2 months in a few days and I am still waiting on that pre closure statement.
Every time I reach out to PNBHFL customer care, they indicate that the request is still in process. Now of course, they've stopped responding to emails as well. I want to do part payments and quickly close out this loan but PNBHFL prefers to stall customer attrition by using these delaying tactics that any institution of repute shouldn't employ.
I need a resolution to this situation. This is nothing but harassment against customers and absolutely against all banking and business norms. Please advise what legal recourse is available for customers against such business practices. Also advise how we can raise awareness about such practices to Authorities. While going through this forum, I saw that this is not an isolated situation for me alone but countless others have faced this in the past. Unless we draw the attention of authorities, PNBHFL will continue to extort customers with such abhorrent malpractices.
