Reg: Complaint against much much less throughput of safe water than specified from pureit
germkill battery kit
This is to inform you that since purchase of purifier of Hindustan Lever make on 21/02/2008, the latest germkill unit installed on 01/06/2010 delivered the least amount of safe water which is beyond any stretch of justifications. In case of earlier kits also, I had noted the anomaly but this time it has been proved beyond doubt that the germkill unit’s purification capacity is much less than what is claimed by HUL even after taking variation of temperature and humidity into consideration.
Let me explain how I came to this conclusion.
• We are only two family members.
• Water from pureit is consumed exclusively for DRINKING purpose.
• Drinking water consumption is 5.5 Liter/day (maximum).
• The purifier unit is placed in a room at ambient temperature.
• A kit of 1500 liter purifying capacity was replaced last time on 01/06/2010.
• Life of this kit ended on 25/09/2010, i.e., after 112 days (We were out of station for 5 days).
• That means, purified water quantity was 112 X 5.5 Liter= 616 Liter (40% approx.) against an expected amount of 1350 Liter (considering de-rating of capacity by 10% due to fluctuation in temperature and humidity).
I felt terribly upset that a reputed company like HUL could mislead their consumers this way!! I had contacted Pureit Helpline Number[protected] and lodged my complaint and demanded free replacement of batterykit immediately. One service technician had come on 01/10/2010 but expressed his inability to replace free and hinted at delay in settling the issue. He suggested writing to you. However, I had submitted one formal complaint through him. As I am not sure how much time you will take to address the complaint, I had no other alternative but to get kit replaced with a new one against full payment.
I would request you to reimburse the price of kit amount fully as your product failed to deliver desired quantity of purified water let alone the case of specified amount of 1500 liter.
This will not be out of place to mention that I had once influenced my sister, brother, relatives and friends to go for Pureit. Now, what an irony! I regret having advised them. Not only that, I had even purchased one Pureit during my 6-month stay at Guwahati.
I do hope, you will do needful as otherwise I will be constrained to move to CONSUMER COURT. Also, I will make no stone unturned to pass on the info o[censored]nder-capacity of Pureit to its competitors and Newspapers. I have no problem if you mention the exact purifying capacity of each germkill unit. You must know there is economics behind every purchase.

Pure it — No response for customer service
HiI purchased the pure it product on 9th march 2009 and the battery life expired on 20th june, since then am calling the AP Call Centre for replacement of the battery but everytime they assure me for the replacement, which is the fake one. Everytime when i use to call them either they will be asking for the problem or they willl be go on asking for my complaint no. i, e S09/ HYD[protected] . It sounds like as if they are following the customer problem.
HLL Pure it site shows the real face of the company. It shows how good they are servicing the customer.
Plz i request to the HLL company holder to look after this matter.
I[censored] can't solve the customer problem plz stop the advertisement and production of this stupid, useless product furthur so that no other will be willing to buy this product.
I think the HLL company is fake one.
