I completed my 10th standard along with him in 2017. After that, on December 29, 2025, he messaged me on the pretext of wishing me on my birthday. He then started intentionally sharing information with me about the business he was doing. He also told me that he was earning ₹30, 000 to ₹40, 000 per week and ₹1 lakh to ₹2 lakh per month. All of these conversations took place through Instagram messages.
He collected my contact number and, one day, called me and explained about his business. He told me that it was a pure e-commerce business and that they had tie-ups with 20 to 30 multinational companies. He told me that we did not have to do any R&D, quality checking, logistics, etc., because everything would be taken care of by the company itself. He told me that if we increased their turnover, we would receive a 10% to 15% commission.
After that, one day he called me and told me that there was a business opportunity and that they were planning to expand the business in Chennai and Bangalore. He told me that they needed trustworthy people and that there was a qualification process. He said that his senior partner would qualify me and that he would take an appointment for me, asking me to come.
When I went there, they spoke to me for around two hours about various things. They called me to Taco Bell Café at Ashok Nagar, stating that it was part of the qualification process. After the business discussion was completed, the next day my friend Krishna Moorthy called me and told me that his senior had approved me and that we could start the loan process.
As I suspected that something might be a scam, I asked him to meet me. I told him that I would come to his house because I did not know where he lived and that, if my money was lost, I would need to know whom I could approach. I visited his house and also saw his father’s shop. After that, I proceeded based on the loan process he explained to me. A loan amount of ₹2, 05, 500 was processed, and I transferred the amount 1, 87, 000 to the account mentioned by him for the product purchase.
After that, on the first day, they told me to watch certain videos. The next day, they gave me eight videos, and later they gave me eight books and told me to read all of them. They instructed me to update in their WhatsApp group whatever I understood. The next day, I went there and told them that I had completed half of it.
After that, they went to Dubai for a meeting, and it took some time for them to return. During this period, I did not receive any purchase receipt or any proper information regarding the product from them. I was also not informed that there was a 30-day refund period. I came to know about these matters only through my friend’s friend who was working in my office.
Even during the 30-day period, they kept me engaged in the process without properly explaining these matters. At that time, I sent him a YouTube video and asked him whether this was a business where people were being recruited. In response, he told me that he knew everything and spoke negatively about the video.
The next day, they explained that they were conducting the business legally and showed various things on their laptop.
I then decided to follow the process they explained and continued doing the activities one by one. Later, they asked me to prepare a list of 500 names. When I asked why they needed the list, they told me that when starting a business, I would naturally first tell people whom I already knew about the business. They discussed this with me and took the list from me one day.
After that, they instructed me to call my friends and pass information about the business to them and to speak excitedly about it. They referred to this process as an “information call.”
After approximately two weeks, they started asking me to bring people for business discussions by making calls.
After me, Saravanan were also introduced by him through the same process. He invited them to a café, approached them through the same process, and he himself helped Saravana with the loan process. Saravana paid a total amount of ₹2, 72, 000.
He also went to the gym daily, but after being influenced to join the business, he stopped going to the gym. He went there with the intention of getting Saravana to join the business.
I had already questioned them at that time about whether this was a business based on recruiting people. They again explained to me that initially, if we ran the business only in one place, we would receive a limited amount of commission, but if we provided franchises, we could receive a larger amount of commission. They also told me that this was the reason why they were initially appointing two people and that, after that, I would receive RSP commission.
They further told me that the people who were already there were not doing only recruitment and gave Hari Anna and Vinoth Anna as examples, stating that they were also now recruiting people.
After that, I introduced my friend Ajith Kumar to the business. He paid a total amount of ₹1, 98, 000. Krishna Moorthy also helped with this process. He came to Ajith’s jewellery shop, spoke to him, gained his trust, and told him that both Karthi and he were there to help him and assist him with the process.
After that, I also introduced Sivanesan, who paid a total amount of ₹3, 50, 000.
They told me that there was a VCon conference in Malaysia and that I definitely had to attend. They told me that only if I came, the two people whom I had introduced would also come. I asked them how I would arrange the money for the trip. Hariharan told me that after going there and returning, I would receive ₹75, 000.
Based on this statement, I trusted them and took ₹1 lakh that had been kept for my brother’s marriage. I had a dispute at home and went to Malaysia.
They also told me that if those two people came, I would receive commission as well. Until this point, I had not received anything. I later came to know that the statements they had made were not true. Even after the two people were introduced, they again instructed me to call the next person and speak to them.
After returning from Malaysia, I did not follow what they were telling me. I also stopped regularly going to the places where they asked me to go. They used to conduct a system every Sunday, but I started reducing my attendance by giving different reasons.
Around three weeks before my brother’s marriage, and after the marriage, I told him that I wanted to leave and I asked him to refund the amount I paid for the product, as the money was given to me with the understanding that it was for the business startup amount. Without my knowledge or understanding, a product was purchased using the amount. When I initially asked for a refund, he told me that a refund was not possible. He told me that the 30-day period was over and that nothing could be done after that. He told me to go and speak directly to the company if I had any issue. He also told me that if I wanted my money, I should bring people into the business, take commission, and recover my money.
The next day, when I called him, he did not answer. I sent messages, but there was no reply. Now he blocked me on all platforms.
I had questions regarding the payment and the business, but I did not receive clear information or a proper explanation before proceeding with the transaction. If these details had been clearly explained to me beforehand, I would not have proceeded with the purchase.
I have received the product, but I do not require or wish to keep the product, as I was not clearly informed beforehand that my payment would result in a product purchase.
Therefore, I do not wish to continue with QNET and respectfully request you to cancel the purchase and process a refund of ₹1, 85, 401.
I have the purchase receipt and can provide any other required information or documents for verification. Kindly acknowledge my refund request and guide me through the return and refund procedure at the earliest.
I request your kind consideration of my situation and a prompt resolution.
Thank you.
