[Resolved] Quikr — defective wardrobe delivered | |||
Hello, Ref : ad id :[protected] Ticket no : [protected] I have been a quikr user since couple of years wherein i have bought and also sold products. I have referred also to my contacts. But recently i had a very bad experience. I purchased a 3 door wardrobe through quikr and was delivered on 6th july 2019. Before purchasing i personally visited the sellers place to see the product and it was as good as a new one without any scratches or damage as it was just 6 months old. I was also present during the de - assembling of the product. It was delivered after 5 days to my place as the same day delivery slot was unavailable. The product looked ok from outside as it was packed and i didn't remove as it was very heavy. But the same evening when the carpenter whom i had booked for assembling came and opened it noticed a damage at the side panel of the wardrobe. Also the keys and hanger rod were missing. I immediately called up quikr and informed them about the damage and they suggested me to write a mail which i sent along with the photos. It's been 63 days since the issue has happened. I have been continuously following it up through mails and calls. But each time i hear the same that the issue has been escalated to the internal team and they are working on it. I really don't understand is this what they call professionalism or the customer service? Does the role end immediately after getting the payment? Once the customer makes an offer there will be continuous follow ups on the payment, but if any such issues happen after the purchase, is it not the responsibility of quikr to resolve it? In the meanwhile one day i received a call where one of the executive said the they have decided to compensate with 700rs. Do they really have the market sense? Damage to the panel has to be rectified, two set of keys (Outside and for internal drawer) and hanger rod is required... I said i have enquired and the repair cost would come up to 1500 rs. I suggested them either they compensate the amount (1500rs) or send the repair guy and get it repaired, for which they didn't even bother to respond. I am extremely disappointed and frustrated. With no fault of mine, i have received a damaged product after paying the full amount. It is just like a damaged woodeen shelf i am keeping at home, because without keys and hanger rod it doesn't serve the purpose. These days it is easy to highlight these kind of issues in the social platform. I can easily raise a complaint in the consumer cell and post about quikr in the social media. But i am still being patient hoping my issue would be resolved.. I request whoever the concerned person to look into this and do the needful at the earliest. Oct 2, 2019 Complaint marked as Resolved After posting my issue in consumer complaints, the same was forwarded to quikr company by them.I am really thankful to the consumer forum...My issue which was prolonged for more than 2 months got resolved within 2 weeks..I got a compensation of 1500rs for the damages caused.
