Rajdhani / Yamuna Power [Bses] — raising of time barred claim after 12 years

With reference to Dues Transfer Cell Order no. AVP/DTC/SRD/DT-[protected]/4/1/2018-19 dated 22nd July 2019 (attached) regarding transfer of dues of Rs. 11516 in r.o earlier CA No.[protected] to my CA No.[protected] in respect of 8A/57 T.F WEA, Karol Bagh, Delhi-110005, it is submitted that we bought a floor located at 8A/57, Third Floor, WEA, Karol Bagh, Delhi-110005 on 18.07.2007. When the bought the floor, the meter having CA No.[protected] was already got installed long back and it is understood that BSES’s provides new connection after payment of all outstanding dues only.

After 12 years, BSES has now raised the claim on account of outstanding dues not paid by one of earlier owner Mr. Praveen Kumar Jain (earlier CA No[protected] and BSES did not also provide any details this outstanding amount also. Now, arbitrarily, BSES’s Dues Transfer Cell vide above cited order dated 22nd July 2019 transferred the outstanding dues of Rs. 11516 to my CA No.[protected]. You may appreciate that after 12 years it is not possible for me to go into verify the authenticity of this claim and that too without any details. This claim raised by BSES is a time barred claim and it should not have been raised after a period of 12 years.

In view of the above, I am unable to accept BSES claim of Rs 11516 and request you to consider this claim as time barred and waive off/reverse the claim, I shall be obliged.
