[Resolved] Redbus — bus delayed more than two hours and arrogant behaviour from the bus operator. | |||||
Hi. I have booked a bus from salem to chennai on 27th august, 2017. The departure time was 10.20 pm. The ticket price is 916 inr. I went to the provided departure loaction (Kalyan silks, salem) and was waiting for the bus. The bus did not arrive till 10.20 pm and i called the bus operator. He did not attend the call for more than five times and he attended after that and was very rude. He said that it will take another 2 hours for the bus to arrive at my location. He also said the customers are sent text messages regarding this but i did not receive any messages and so did the other co passengers waiting with me. After that his cell was switched off. I got stranded at the night time and had health issues. I got another bus paying a new ticket fee from another bus service and reached chennai next morning. I have raised a complaint to red bus customer care on 27 th august, 2017 at 10:40 pm. They said they will revert me back within 24 hours. The nextd ay around 4 pm i called the customer care to check about my complaint. They said that i have to wait another 24 hours as the bus operator did not respind them back. I ve told them it is none of my concern and wanted my refund back. To which the customer care executive mr. Akshay did not reply properly. I also asked them whether i will get the resolution within 24 hours from the time of raising the complaint for which they didn't say an proper yes or no as an answer instead they kept on repeating the same thing, "please wait" I m infuriated by this poor customer service and i ve lost nearly 1000 ruppees because of that and got stranded in the city around night time and this caused me a lot of stress. It has been quite an easy practice to raise the bus ticket fare during festive seasons, its been the same even when there are no long weekends. It is totally not acceptable going with the actual fare Vs excessive fare.
