Hi All,

I am not the first to experience, and I heard of late from my colleagues buying online product from Rediff. I ordered for a branded portable DVD player, within 15 days the player conked. I have made few attempts with Rediff asking for replacement, but all my efforts was invain. I don't think I will get any compensation from Rediff but for all who wants to purchase items from Rediff pls be carefull. I strongly will not recommend or refer any one to buy from Rediff and I will never ever purchase anything from Rediff.

Rediff shopping vendors selling old and different products by advertising as new and also different models than advertised. This is serious online fraud. The Vendors of rediff and other online shopping portals cannot be trusted. Anybody having any idea how to register for online shopping fraud of this kind, and is the indian law system ready to tackle this kind of problem

I have ordered a Universal Blue tooth through rediff. I received a defective product from the seller.
After i complaining to the Rediff, they said the return back the product to the seller.
I did so. I sent the product to the seller for the address given by Rediff.
After waiting for 2 more weeks i still not get the new product. when i enquired with the courier people
I came to know that the parcel which i sent to the seller got returned since the address of the seller is shifted.
How come the seller's address get changed when i sent the parcel to the same address which you have given in the previous mail.

I hope the seller is intentionally rejecting the parcel from the courier services.

Think once here: Along with the sellers address i have also given his phone number, the courier people might have called the seller with that number, they will not simply return the parcel just like that.

Please help me how to proceed legally on this issue.
I need to get my money back.

Rediff bol is providing facilities to the people who sends vulgar messages without their contact details to be shown in messages.
At least we need to know who is sending the messages. These sires like rediff bol are bloddy sites just encouraging vulgarity in india. These sites must be banned or they need to make changes in their functianality so that we can get acces to the person sending messages.

I ordered a rakhi gift for my sister through rediff shopping on 29 jul 09. the gift was delivered on the 31 jul 09 in a broken condition. a complaint was registered the same day with the company but to no avail. The company has not only not delivered the correct product, but also spoilt a festival. the phone nos and the email id given of the vendor are also bogus

I had purchased a 2.1 Channel Speakers from auctions.rediff.com. I did not get the Speakers for a month and they had confirmed my payment and order. Later when inquired, got the reply that product will not shipped to Bangalore. I dont know why. And it was no where mentioned in the listing that they wont be shipping to bangalore. Rediff is misguiding online consumers.. My rediff id is my email id. I got the refund only after my asking for product after a month. How can they cancel confirmed order after a month? Whats the assurance that we get product which we buy from rediff.. just they hold your money for 40 days and then refund. Govt has to take steps towards online sellers to follow at least few basic rules..

I have ordered the following items from rediff online shopping. The items with chocos are being opened and eaten/taken away or may be not shipped at all. The flowers in the first order was not sent at all. I have paid 979 Rs for a box of chocos worth 260 and 10 roses for my brother. But looks like all my has gone waste and special Rakhi has been spoiled. Pls spread the message and make sure that nobody else suffers from this site.

I had ordered for a pen camera with good features on rediff shopping and the order number was 5458217 . However, when i received my product (date 08/07/09), I was shocked it was not working.I raised a complaint with customer care. Also I receive response from them. They asked me to send back the product to the vendor. I send back the product to the vendor (date 13/07/09). After that they didn’t respond. Now I am worried about my money. I had send many emails thru rediff customer care but they didn’t respond for my mail. On 21/07/09 I got a Rediff Gift Voucher worth Rs. 230 as a refund towards the courier charges incurred by me during the sales return(13/07/2009). I need my refund which I spend to buy pen camera (Rs. 1614). I request the concerned authorities to take necessary action against them and ensure that the rights of customers are taken care of.

I purchased an faded jeans and white full tshirt with the order number 5470461. It was booked on 10 july 09 and i was surprised to see a faster delivery on 13th july 09, when opened the packet it was totally shocked whereas the faded jeans is not there and an another poor quality local jeans that too with full dark blue cheap color was there, and coming to the shirt it doesnt even worth more than 100 rs looked like an plat form quality which i didnt even desired to make a trial of such,

Mailed to rediff customer care for an surprise nothing happened and all the money of 510 rs is gone.

Today I received the product 'All in One Memory Card Reader USB 2.0' order no. 5446766 from rediff shopping.
On opening the package and inspecting the device, I realised that this is not the same as what was expected as per the details mentioned in the website.
At the time of ordering, it was mentioned that the card had following :

IBM Micro drive
Smart Media
Multimedia Card
Secure Digital
Memory Stick
Memory Stick Pro (1 bit)
Specifications:Dimensions: 3.98" x 2.99" x .57" (10.1cm x 7.6cm x 1.45cm)

But what I have received is totally different. What I have received is some cheap device that can read just 4 memory cards. It does not even have a slot for reading Compact Flash Type I/II.
It is not even matching with the dimensions mentioned in the website. Further, there is a 15 day warranty which is not present with in the package
The whole package and device shows that it is some cheap product sent to me.

I won the auction in Rs.1/- + Rs. 199/- (courier charges) Total Rs. 200/- ended on 07/06/09 & paid for the same on the same day by credit card got approval mail on 08/06/09 whose Order.No. 5417317 approved dated 08/06/09 Sandido Smart Leather Watch Buy one get one free - status showing Handed Over To Courier on 09-JUN-2009, Consignment Number - E[protected], Courier Name - None (What is the meaning of None?)not yet received the consignment to me though the seller & buyer city is the same. Trying to contact to seller (Ojjas Enterprises, Goregaon East, Mumbai, India) from last 7 days on their given two landline numbers but no one is picking up the phone (It's ringing only) also trying to contact through email to both i.e. seller & customer care of rediff shopping but no one is reverting.Want to know why the same has not been dispatched though I have paid the amount fully & if it is handed over to courier on 09-JUN-2009 (as per their status report)then want to know the courier company name.

Kindly take some necessary & unforgetable action against both the cheaters i.e. rediffshopping & Ojjas Enterprises who are neither delivering the product nor giving any update inspite of mailing them so many time.

Also require apology letter & Compensation from the both i.e. rediffshopping & Ojjas Enterprises as i have to wast my time to follow them from so many days.

I have placed an online order on Rediffshopping on dt.14.5.09 for purchase of Canon Powershot A590IS Digital Camera 8.0MP vide my order no. 5373426 dt.14.5.09 when I made the payment through net banking there was some problem in payment processing so I made contact their customer care number[protected] on dt.15.5.09 and explain to their (rediffshopping) Customer care executive. He said that there was some problem in processing the payment, so he suggested me it’s better if you pay by Cheque or Credit card and we (rediffshopping) reissue new order number 5374184 dt.15.5.09 for same order so I choose second option payment thru’ Credit card and he transfer my telephone to credit card payment mode option I made the payment thru’ HSBC Card no.[protected] but when I made the payment, again third time my order has changed by computer system automatically now my order number 5374190 dt15.5.09 again I made contact customer care executive and explain to the same he said no problem sir we cancelled your earlier order and continue this order but before confirm this order we need some details regarding Credit card payment, which will sent you by mail, please fill all that & forward it to us (rediffshopping). I have not got any mail by 19.05.09 on my mail ID, so again on 19.05.09 I made contact to customer care and explain the same story again to rediff Customer care Executive, he suggested me to make the payment by cheque and courier our office :

He committed me that this time your order surely be execute but again forth time my order has changed, now order number of my required product was 5381726 dt.19.5.09, as per his commitment I have sent them Cheque number 786319 dt.20.05.09 after a long wait till 31.05.09 no communication made by rediffshopping regarding my cheque received or not. So on 1.6.09 again I made contact to rediffshopping customer care, I was shocked after update given by rediffshopping executive that there was no update in rediffshopping system regarding my cheque instead of my cheque has already been cleared from my bank account on dated 27.5.09, now their executive said me first I have to check our records and will get back to you but nobody respond me on my complaint at the end of the day so again on 2.6.09 I made contact to customer care with the unsolved problem but no update by their side & they are continuously saying the same statement again I made contact on 3.6.09 to customer care with same problem now they agree that they have received my cheque but still bank confirmation was pending now I made contact to their Support department, one of their Executive name Miss Subha Lakshami attend my call and she has made a new story, she is saying that sir we are sorry for delay & As the model which you required is unavailable with our vendor currently so we are offering you a new upgraded camera A480 as compensation on the same cost but I was disagree at that product and wanted the same camera A590IS 8MP with 4GB data card as compensation she said ok we will try and contact you shortly, till then I have wasted a lot of money to contact them but nobody respond me. As per Rediffshopping policy after received the payment they dispatch the material 7 to 10 working days but I have received the material on 10.6.09 after 14days, (4days late) after a lot of time contact with customer care and support department. The camera which I received by courier was without proper sealed packed, without invoice and without warranty card now again I have made contact to support department but nobody is attending my phone and mail, they have barred my mail ID now I want compensation of all my losses, time & money.

Please look into this & help me out to solve this problem.

I want know who is sending those sms. I would like to know their name, address, email ID and contact no. so that i can file a FIR against this person.
