[Resolved] Reliance Communications — Broadband service billing issue | |||
I had subscribed reliance broadband services, rupees 999 monthly plan in feb 2015. My subscriber id was[protected]. My monthly billing cycle used to end at 10th of every month. On 12th may 2015 the service was not working at my home, so i had reported a complaint by calling their customer care number. But neither my internet service was started nor anyone showed up at my place even for two to three days. When i called their customer service two to three days later, they said my complaint was closed and the issue was resolved on their system. They closed the complaint without even checking with me for service resumption from my end. I had asked them to reopen the issue ticket. Again same thing neither my internet service was started nor anyone showed up at my place. Finally on 23rd may after calling at least five to six times on their customer care, i had asked them to cancel my service subscription and deactivate my account. They said it would take around 3 to 7 days for cancellation to be effective. Later on beginning of jun, i had a call from reliance executive to pay my monthly bill of 1100+. I had asked them to correct the bill for the number of days my account was active (Which would be between (23 + 3 - 10) 16 to (23+7 - 10) 20 days) rather than full month bill and resend it. They keep asking me to pay full bill and said we will refund the difference later on. Technically their service was stopped from 12th may and it never got resumed, so i suppose to only pay for one day. But i just wanted to get away with this negative energy, so was ready to pay for 16 to 20 days. Now, after three months i have received a call that reliance has filed pre litigation case and threatening me to pay 1600+ amount. I told them the same thing to correct the bill and resend it but they are not willing to do it. This is absolutely a rip off and they are doing mental harassment by following this fraudulent practices. I request customers to stay away from buying their services. I also request indian government consumer protection department to take strong action against reliance for their fraudulent practices. Was this information helpful? | |||
